They'll restock, others will get theirs. You did the right thing, guy should lighten up and enjoy the beer.

What I find baffling is ... what made dude think the store didn't have more in backstock? Depending on the depth of the shelf, you can only fit four or five four-packs at a time (assuming you've only got a single row of them). As a stocker, if there were still three on the shelf, I probably wouldn't bother re-stocking until it was down to just one or empty.

And the "buying singles from four/six-packs" thing is going to vary from store to store. While it can be a pain-in-the-ass from the store's perspective (and it can make the shelves look kind of ratty if you're not staying on top of it), a lot of customers seem to like it and (in the department I ran, anyway) the markup for singles is higher than multi-packs.

I wish that guy was behind me today! There would have been some words.
Edit: And I got a discount. $11.00 a four pack.

I see tons of FBS. Funny thing, at all the Key Foods near me, I see people have taken bottles from Imperial Stout and Double Trouble 4 packs, load those into the Founders six packs and put brews like All Day and Devil dancer back into the four packs. Since all the bottles and packs have the same generic artwork and packaging, the checkout clerk only scans the bottom of the All Day sixer for $11.99, even though its filled with all imperial ales.

This is why I dont even bother with Founders anymore. Way too popular, too many people fighting for seasonal releases and the distributor reps from Union could give two shits about their planogram.

You should've grabbed it all. Honestly, who really cares about making sure there is still some left for the next guy? We all know that if we walked into a store and there was our favorite limited beer on the shelf at a good price with no limit per customer, we'd buy as much as we could afford and if we could afford it, we'd buy the store out not giving an s about if anyone else gets any.

well, semi trucks have a $110 dollar toll just to enter the city, and the supermarket pays close to 20k a month in rent. perhaps that has something to do with the price gougue.

You should of gotten out of line and went back for more. I wouldn't of been that nice and would love to hear someone say that to me.
