Zwanze Day 2015

Zwanze I didn't think was tapped until 1pm

 

Yeah I think zwanze tapped at 130 or 2pm.

 

Sadly, I wouldn't plan on getting a Zwanze pour. The Zwanze world toast was at 1:00PM and you receive the pour just moments beforehand.

Such a fun time today. Crooked stave ran it like pros!

 

Was a wonderful time, although some bottles ended up missing outside. Hopefully it was a misunderstanding and not bottle thieves.

 

Well, that was fantastic!

 

Don't know how mistakenly taking a Zwanze ticket out of my glass while I was turned around at the bar is an accident, or stealing my sealed beer is a "misunderstanding".

Regardless, it was still a fun time.

 

Wow. I was talking about 2 separate incidents where there was the possibility some sidewalk beers were (hopefully) moved and not taken. That's far worse and pretty fucked up.

 

It sounds like quite a few people got things stolen.

Yikes, that sucks about stolen beers. My ipad was in my bag all day, didn't get messed with. We did move some unopened beers closer to the wall so they wouldn't get kicked over, hope that's not what you guys are talking about! I had a great time, definitely a different experience this year than last for me. Met some awesome people, got to sample some ridiculous beers.

 

From some reports I've been reading, it sounds like someone (or several people) were opening bags, grabbing containers, and took a LOT of people's beers. Based on how many people had things go missing, I'd imagine whoever did this must have had a vehicle close by and/or several people helping them.

Really puts a damper on an otherwise wonderful event. C.S. and the local tent-bearing all-stars really did a hell of a job.

 

Damn, what a super bummer. Glad I didn't have anything go missing! I wonder when the stuff went missing ... after everyone was inside maybe? I feel like it'd be hard to do it when everyone was outside.

 

First report I got was around 11:30. I think when the doors opened, everyone went inside for their pours and (per usual) just left all their stuff on the sidewalk. One of my friends had a bottle container with 5 Wicked Weed bottles that got taken - container and all. 3-4 other people had bags and coolers that were opened and had things taken from them, but other things were left alone. I had a backpack with a single 2013 Parabola that didn't get touched. I guess it either looked empty or whoever did this didn't want it.
