We (my dad and I) did fantasy baseball back when I was in 7th grade, so 1993/1994 and it was done via USPS. Some service would send you a list of every player, you had a salary and had to complate a roster. Your roster was locked for either 2 or 4 weeks at a time. I still remember looking at schedules to see who might play one extra game in that timeframe. Also injuries were killer!

 

They could... But they will be better sooner.

I'd get them cold even if you aren't drinking them soon.

 

Personally I've never had a problem with their stuff going flat but I've read many stories of them losing carbonation pretty quickly.

I tried to warn you about another one of these comments.. you just wentv from a small HD home depot box to a medium! Keep up the good work!

As Bryan said, you should stick around. That is if you like beer, talking about beer, sending and receiving beer and we'll just about everything else there is to chat about. We've got some really awesome CA guys in here, what part of California are you from? Do you prefer yogurt or ice cream? Coke or Pepsi?

 

I would definitely recommend drinking the growlers before you leave, for two reasons. The first is because they were filled at the original location, that is known for having carb issues. I've had less problems lately but I wouldn't push my luck because yes, they unfortunately are already a week old. Secondly, they're hoppy beers...... #lehighfresh and all that.

You mentioned not having much chance to try lambics, and I saw the Westvleterens on your Wants list, and I just so happened to be finishing off a BIAB order as I was building your box, so I hope you don't mind that those aren't exactly "local"

The Weyerbacher Insanity bottles are not "Insanity" and "BA Insanity", Insanity is the Barrel Aged version of Blithering Idiot, it's always barrel aged. The reason the two bottles differ is because one (with the W cap) is from 2014.... and the other is from 2005. I recommend drinking them side-by-side.

Dochter Seizoen is from Forest & Main, a local spot that is actually even more "local" to me than Tired Hands (7 minutes vs 30). They are very quietly every bit as good as Tired Hands.

And a note to everyone else: I knew going in that Shaun likes Yuengling a lot and can't get it, that wasn't just a bogus "space filler". I actually was going to send two 12oz cans in that slot, but figured the quart bottle was a free extra 8oz, so why not.

He's a San Francisco guy. I know this because I greedily picked him to be my sender in that BIF.

...I say greedily a bit tongue-in-cheek as the majority of the boxes in there are killer. Out of almost 30, only a handful were not BIF newbies, however even those that are so new they needed sponsors are decimating porches. I quite expect we'll get more than a couple new members here in The Locals once that BIF has run its course.
