I'm tired of craft beer. I just wanna sit back and enjoy a cold one, plain and simple. No talk of barrel aged this, dry hopped that, or having to trade with somebody across the country to get it.

What I wanna know is what's your favorite macro? No snobs here, this is "beer advocate", not just "CRAFT beer advocate".

Lately I've been drinking a lot of Yuengling. Simple, affordable beer that's straight to the point. I also like a frosty Coors Banquet from time to time. How about you guys?

After work, bartending at a craft bar, all I want in the world is a couple colds Miller High Life's. Then back to the good stuff. But the Champagne of beers always holds a special place in my heart.

I'll have to say Stroh's. Best flavor of any "dirty 30" beer I've had for the value. Schlitz 1960's Formula is pretty damn good, too

Two for me...one is the aforementioned High Life. Also, I'm still a sucker for an ICE COLD Rolling Rock. If it warms even in the slightest it is undrinkable, but I find it pretty refreshing when really cold. I haven't had one in over a year though...

However, and I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I never crave a macro. A craft pilsner (Prima Pils, Scrimshaw...), pale ale (Fist City, SideKick...), or Cream ale (Sweet Action) always sound more enticing.

I gotta admit I picked up a case of good old Budweiser today. Had a crazing for some ice cold beachwood aged goodness.

Last week I bought some Founder's Breakfast Stout, Bell's 30 Anniversary Ale and some Deschutes Obsidian Stout. That's about $35 for 16 bottles.

My go to Marco beer of choice is Milwaukee's Best Light. 30 pack for $12. Yup, sign me up.

Narragansett Lager is a beer I will never turn down. (Unless you know, I need to drive or something.)

Naw, I just figured I'd call it that. Malt Liquor sounds too derogatory.

Oh how could I forget PBR in the OP. Love it. Always go for when a bar has $2 PBR tallboys.

Did you know that you can be sick of barrel aged beers, dry hopped beers, and beer trading, and still not be sick of "craft" beer?

My favorite AAL is Miller High Life.

There is a Budweiser beer that is served under numerous names across the country. It's a red called Budweiser American Ale, and they let bars serve it under the name chosen by the bar. It's got decent malts, a bit of hop, and a relatively smooth finish. Nothing spectacular, but pretty damn good when your favorite local hangout serves it all day every day for $2 a pint. If you are getting a cheap local red that your bar named after itself, I suggest you ask them what it is, and you may just have Budweiser to thank.
