You sent me something (I don't recall what) in two consecutive boxes a while back, glad to see you've learned :-)

Forgive this lowly Pats fan for basking in the Colts failures - couldn't have happened to a better franchise. And I'm going to say it's 100% on their GM's (Polian and now Grigson) who don't seem to "get it" that you need to build a balanced team, not just expect your QB to dominate every game in a shootout. Just my opinion, but Pagano is a damn good coach - not his fault the front office refuses to focus on defense. Here's their picks in the first 3 rounds since Pagano has been head coach:
    1x QB, 2x TE, 3x WR, 2x G
1x CB (early 3rd in Smith this year - zero snaps so far), 2x DE (1st round bust in Werner, late 3rd this year in Anderson)

Don't worry, I'm sure that the Pats won't put up 400+ yards on them in a few weeks.

Just a beer/excel related story -- by pure luck, the girl right across from me at work (we have this weird open office environment) is really into craft beer, as is her boyfriend. The guy next to me (quiet, scary smart, a little socially awkward) sometimes listens in on our conversations and asks questions. For example, last week he mentioned that he thinks he likes malty, but not hoppy beers, and asks for an IPA recommendation -- we basically said IPA's might not be his best option.

This past Monday, he mentioned how he had a beer he really liked this weekend, and mentioned that it was Belgian, and asks for our thoughts. I mentioned that I'm not a good person to ask, because I don't typically enjoy Belgian beers -- and then proceed to pull up my spreadsheet (without thinking), refresh some pivots, and say "yeah, I've tried 22 different ones, and rated them consistently lower than their average rating", followed by "I've only rated 1 of them above its average". He wheels his chair over, stares at my spreadsheet for a few minutes, and then says (loudly, but to himself) "that's disturbing", and goes back to work, periodically chatting about beer, work, or other stuff.

A couple of hours later our VP walks by, and he goes "Bill, you've got to see Mike's beer spreadsheet" and makes me pull it up. Our VP seemed amused and then goes "what are all those other tabs" -- so I quickly show him my inventory and BIF tracking grid -- I even managed to say "yeah, after dinner I usually check for hints and update my guesses". The good news is he is now planning on finding a brewpub or craft bar place for our next team outing.

English IPAs would also be a good option for him. Try Yards IPA (should be available in NJ if not NY).

Also, that's awesome. Good thing you have cool VPs, that could've taken a nasty turn in a hurry if not.

edit: Also Great Lakes' Commodore Perry and Brooklyn's East India Pale Ale, both actually in NY's distro.

Two boxes sent out today (hopefully delivered on Saturday). One is the Sixterhood and the other is a ninja/#gopickitupformebro. Boxes will end up being about only 60 miles apart upon delivery.

Yeah. I underestimated the size of the box I was packing so decided to split it into two. Notice the lack of small format bottles in the first one.........

Voluntary #Pickitupformebro - Check the cellar list, let me know there's anything you want. I'll be there right at noon on Saturday, but will only have 10 minutes to shop before hitting the road. Might swing back through later that evening to pick up any scraps left over that I might have missed earlier.

Anyone want a bottle of 2012 Bigfoot... or 700 of them?

Do you know how the prices are? Depending on prices I might ask for a 6-shipper worth of things...
