Below is the label from the final release in the 2015 One Hitter Series. This label was tweeted out by Tony Magee yesterday. It will be a beer called Bitter Oats, which he describes as "like an oatmeal stout w/o malts." Needless to say, this sounds like it will be an interesting beer. It will come packaged in 22oz bombers and will clock in at 7.7%abv. No word on release date yet.

That label looks like the weirdest copy paste job but the beer does sound dang delicious.

Just speculating, so like a dark hoppy beer akin to a black IPA, or is this going to be like an IPA with oats added for body like a bitter white stout?

    an oatmeal stout without malt....

    so its water?

more like the new trend of "golden stouts", especially since it states "bitter" in the title.

Likely to be a hoppy blond, with some oats and maybe vanilla or something.

Hey Lagunitas if you're looking for a new graphic designer I might be able to help.

Sounds to me like what Tired Hands has done for sure, Oatmeal IPA. I had the collab they did with Other Half and wasn't wowed. HOWEVER, if this is anything like Fatamorgana from Omnipollo (pretty sure it's an oat IPA), I will buy a case.

My first thought was: oatmeal IPA? Now all I can think about is whether such a beer exists. Has anyone heard of one?

Edit: Yeah, I know. I just looked up.

So is this really just all oatmeal or do they mean they just didn't use any crystal malts? Kinda misleading if that's what they meant.

    You must try Fatamorgana. http://www.omnipollo.com/beer/fatamorgana

Not sure when it will be brewed again, but I've seen other Omnipollo online, so I'd say just keep it on your radar. Keep all of their beers for that matter. Awesome stuff.

Anyhow, back to Lagunitas. Still looking forward to this Bitter Oat.

Fatamorgana is one of my favorite beers. It will be brewed again. I've seen it on more than one batch. If this even holds a candle to that, I'll be pleased.
