Totally kidding about the Whalez table, text doesn't do justice. I might have a Pallet 2 left to help out your vert. If you're bringing all those then this bottle share is about to get good! I like your cahones

Finally able to make time to camp out this year, looking forward to the bottle share!

Took down a bottle of '13 Darkness last night and I forgot just how delicious regular Darkness is. What an amazing beer worthy of all the hype. Super pumped for this years release.

I have an Abrasive from February that I shipped out around then and it mysterious appeared on my door step in July. FedEx aged for 5 months!

You ought to get to the brewery then, we had Darkness (non-barrel) on tap Tuesday night. I agree, I'd forgotten as well after the rush of High West endorphins.

This does sound like a fun event. Wish I could go, but I've got to work. Hopefully it will make it up to St. Cloud liquor stores, after Darkness day.

I know that even coborn's liquor in St Joseph got bottles of darkness last year, so your odds are good if you keep an eye on Westside's locations and Cashwise/Coborns! Good luck!

So...first Darkness day and saw this posted on the other thread as well, but we can line up at 3:30 p.m. on Friday and generally if you're...in line by....6 a.m.....you'll get wristbands to purchase the full allotment?

Weather has a lot to do with when the line fills up. As recently as 2013, some wristbands were still available when the event started. But the scene is bigger now, not to mention the BA versions have driven some more interest in the event.

It's worth noting that while the wristbands have historically gotten you a six bottle allocation, that you have still been able to walk in for purchase of 4 bottles later during the event. Having attended the last five years, I'm not sure if I'm up for the overnight bottle share but might make a day trip just for the event itself and to pick up bottles. It will be interesting to see how the allocations work out if both BA and non BA are bottled.

Generally, yes. Due to shenanigans, last year was the first year you *could* have been shut out arriving at 6AM. That was never a problem in previous years.

Let's just hope for snow flurries. That'll keep a lot of the riff-raff at bay.

Any DD vets have advice on parking? Was planning in driving straight to the event from Winnipeg and getting in line right away - after a night of drinking and then the actual day of festivities I don't think driving will be an option - I don't suppose there will be anywhere to leave a car until Sunday morning?

In the past Surly has allowed people to leave their cars in the various lots around the brewery as long as they were gone Sunday night.
