CANBIF Fall 2015: Hints & Hauls

Just came back from a little trip down the Oregon coast, hope my target doesn't mind a beer or two that I brought back going into the box.

Hint #2: There was one beer I was sure I'd be sending in this CANBIF, after looking through my target's profile, I will no longer be sending it.

I'm pretty open minded. If you think it's good I would love to try it. We are getting an increasing amount of stuff from Canadian craft brewers from west of the Maritimes now at the government store. As an FYI, here is the link to NB Liquor's listings for these:

Dislikes:

Again, I am open to pretty much anything....but strongly flavoured beers would be lower on my "want" list....pumpkin, maple, etc. But if you think it's good, I still want to try it.

 

Hint #3: My target hasn't said what they like so I've had to go to a previous CANBIF thread to find out.

I'm shipping next week. Just gotta buy a little red wagon to pull all my boxes to the post office since I can't seem to print shipping labels online anymore.

 

Hint #1: You trade with one of my drinking buddies just like Kump and I'm having a hard time finding something you haven't had already... Worthy challenge indeed!

Hint #2: Your initials match that of a US city AND a 70s disco band leader.

 

To my sender: If you like it, I will like it. If it's unticked, even better but do not stress it too much. If it's unticked and it's a saison or a sour that is god!

 

My target has a steady supply of Creemore Springs. Damnit! Have to change up my picks now

 

Hint #1: My target drinks a lot of beers from a very prestigious producer that I've (unfortunately) only had a couple of beers from.

Hint #2: Despite the lofty ISOs listed on their profile page, I'll quite likely be including the most specific bottle request in their box, along with a couple satisfying the more vague requests. From perusing his ticks and wants, I'd think that we'd drink well together.

Hint #1 - my target doesn't seem to want sour beers

Wants - open to anything not Gluten-free, and I love beers that cellar well. I have a blog that matches my username if my sender wants to see what I like best.

 

Hint #2 - Looks like if all goes well, I'm be able to fulfill at least 4 of my targets wants. I however afraid to send them something from De Garde Brewing based on their wants.

 

Ahhh man! That Girardin 10L... I have 2 10L Buffalo Trace barrels I want to fill with this lambic to ferment my own in them later.... so hot.

 

Hint #2 my target is as close to Four Winds as I am close to Bellwoods.

 

Shouldn't say dislike lambics, fruits or sours. Just not preferred. Don't want to cut my target's selections down and they are not bad, just not the first reach in the cellar. Will just work harder to try and match them to a dinner. Guess it could be a blessing in disguise as I have had brews that I have not liked but changed completely with food and that is one of my passions so....... I'm taking them off my dislike list! Have heard that some are really good but I have only tried one Lambic and two sours before so I think there might be some mighty good ones out there that I have never tried.

Next hint! Been to where my target is twice in my life. Beautiful scenery and the drive there would take a while. Hope my target likes big brews!

 

Hint #3: I shipped to my target province in the last CanBIF.

Oh yeah, also box was dropped at the post office this morning. 232 ounces of beery goodness from Quebec and maybe something from oversea.
