I tried to get that going.... there was a pretty good amount of "that's a really cool idea but I'm out" but only one or two that would've joined in out of the entire roster of Locals + SWTFYW. Might have just been bad timing (though I sat on the idea for like 9 months waiting for a good time) so I'm not saying it won't take off in the future, just that it has already been proposed (and a #humblebrag that it was my idea a long time ago )

 

West Ashley released today, 3 bottles per person, and I'm sitting here at work trying to destroy this bottle of Gatorade with my eyes.

 

Too bad I'm in Vermont right now.

The nose is very similar to Bodhi and the taste is right there too. You're in luck @Devman171 if you guys do swing over next week.

I think where yours went wrong, if it did, was you mentioned trading multiples times out of distro to land bigger bottles of your targets wants. I'd have no problem shipping to NY, NJ, OH or anywhere but would prefer to primarily use local stuff that doesn't distro to those states than to have to trade for a bigger box.

I sure hope you get ZERO empathy for being 'stuck' in Vermont Enjoy the trip!

Very possibly; I meant that only as a suggestion of one way to put together an amazing box for someone in your same state. I never meant to imply it was required or necessary. If it came across the way you put it (we all know I suck at being received the way I intend) I can easily see it being off-putting.

 

So I said I'd crosspost the pron from our newest member @andreizm, but first a #VBS from that haul:

Permanent Daylight from Cellarmaker:

A delicious Citra/Nelson Sauvin IPA, hard to tell in the picture is that it is crystal fucking clear. I LOVE Trillium, but there's something to be said for this kind of clarity. What is not hard to see in the picture is that I obviously had nothing to worry about on carb, and you'll see why in a minute...

The haul:

The Rare Barrel stem glass, and it looks like it's from their society membership I love this glass style, and this is my 4th in it (also have one from Jester King, Casey Brewing, and The Locals made a commemorative 1 Year Anniversary glass in this style). I'd say this rounds out a mixed set of 4 VERY nicely.
The Rare Barrel Home, Sour Home - I got a taste of this at a bottle share a month or two back and LOVED it, tastes like peach pie. Very much looking forward to revisiting, and even though I got seconds at the share, likely with a larger pour.
Cellarmaker Permanent Daylight (growler) - Yea, that's a food saver bag. The top was also taped shut, making this the best way to send a growler I've ever seen, by far. I'd been wanting to try Cellarmaker for a while now, and this was a great first taste. I might have to hit you up in the future for more.
Cascade Noyaux - I've really enjoyed the Cascade beers I've tried so far, and this one looks RIGHT up my alley, apricot and raspberry? Sign me up!
DeGarde Nelson Hose - I love the Gose style, and I LOVE Nelson hops, and I have yet to have a bad DeGarde beer, so I'm definitely looking forward to this treat
Firestone Walker Velvet Merkin - I love FW's boxed beers, and know I will enjoy the hell out of this.
Drake's Brewing Drakonic - I've had one or two from Drake's but only hoppy, looking forward to seeing what they can do with a stout.
Russian River Beatification - Seriously?!? Wow.
Almanac Dogpatch Sour - I just got a bottle of this a couple weeks ago and was really torn whether I should drink it now or lay it down a while. Problem solved.
Almanac Brandy Barrel Peche - So yeah, peaches. God dammit I love peaches.
Modern Times Lomaland and Blazing World - I'm definitely looking forward to these California standards.

Seriously, an incredible box; you would NEVER guess this was @andreizm's first foray into the BIF side of trading. I mean really, a fucking BEATIFICATION!!!!!

Wasn't OG Rare $50 per bottle originally, pre-AB? I thought that's why it sat a while in some places back before charging a dick and a leg became commonplace.
