Station 26 Single-hop Citra IPA

    Just a heads up. @ClayStation turned me onto this beer at Small Batch. Cans are dated 9/22 so super fresh. This beer was a welcome surprise. A very nice very fresh IPA. Check out the reviews (I just posted mine).

    I am not sure how much more of this there will be floating around but word is getting out. If you like Citra it's worth a purchase. First beer I've had from Station 26 and it bodes well for their future. I know that Mile High and Small Batch have these, at least.

    They brewed a huge batch. I think the plan is for single hop amarillo to be canned next. If it's the same as at the tap room it will be a hop bomb.

    In the other thread, someone from S26 said that Chinook was next, followed by Mosaic (early next year).

    I just e-mailed them and told them they should consider making this beer part of their regular canned lineup. Maybe give it a slightly different name since it is now just part of the single-hop series.
    Sucks I can't get this in the Springs.

    It can be quite difficult to get Citra and I heard they had trouble getting what they have already used, so I wouldn't count on it.

    The shortage of Citra Hops is one of the reasons I am going to start home brewing. We are pretty lucky s26 was able to make this much Citra IPA.

    I believe it. Hopefully s26 made some profit on this. I really appreciate their fair price point.

    I saw Justin at WTF and told him I'll keep drinking this as fast as they can make it, hopefully all of the positive feedback on this one means we'll keep getting it on a regular basis

    The current batch of Single Hop Citra, canned on 9/22, is the last batch for this year.

    Citra hops are VERY hard to get hold of. We did have to beg and borrow to get enough to put this last batch out.

    The next batch will be Chinook. We may put a different hop in after the Chinook but before the Mosaic. A lot depends on the current harvest and the schedule for pelletizing.
