I came here specifically to say not this. Picked up up at a gas station in VT on my way to the house we were staying at. What a miss!

KBBS, Mornin Delight, Good Morning, Mornin Wood, MBCP, and maybe STS if you really want maple. CBS, Maple Fayston Maple, and the rest don't pull enough imo.

Derivation b1 was incredible.. let that thing warm up and it becomes a monster. Absolutely loved that beer, was fortunate enough to be able to buy a bottle during GABF week and I can't stop thinking about it. One of the best stouts I've had this year. supper smooth, thick mouthfeel.

My first maple beer was Maple Bacon Coffee Porter and I loved it...instantly made me a fan of Funky Buddha. I would suggest trying to land one of those since most other highly rated maple beer require you to trade up an arm and a leg.

Ok thanks for the suggestions. I will look for some of these next time I'm at my local bottle shop. Hopefully they won't be sold out.

If you don't see them on the shelf just ask if they have them in the back.

Thanks for the tip. I hate when shop owners hide the good stuff.

Lucked into being able to do a side-by-side with CBS and See the Stars a couple days after the StS release. Thought CBS was a little too sweet while StS was pretty well balanced. Both were tasty though. Cheers!

Bent Hill's Smoked Maple Syrup Imperial Stout is a glorious beer. It's a crime that it's not well known like CBS or the others listed here, because it's pretty close to being at their level - I actually like it better than CBS or Lawson's Maple Triple which were both too rich for me, CBS being too sweet and Lawson's being too much like drinking syrup.

CBS is the best one i've had, but Jackie O's BB Black Maple is pretty great too

2015 Proprietor's BCBS if you can get your hands on some when it releases.
