They have a great tap list up, including a solid strong rye IPA...two new pales ales and their first hefeweizen, all very crushable...Gone Away and Space IPA...and Power Steering, a 10.7% imperial stout that blows my mind. They nailed it with that stout, and they don't do the strong beer thing very often.

I don't see nearly enough Half Acre love on this site. By far my favorite taproom to visit and I have yet to try a beer from them that I didn't like. Always bring home a growler of space...always.

I don't think they'll can Space, since they have both an IPA and pale ale always in cans. But I have no insider info.

I don't think they'll can space. It Brewer in memory of their friend that passed away, and it's always on tap in taproom as the house beer.

It is available in both growlers and howlers to go though.

My best friends live two blocks away. It's so so hard to bear Bad Apple take out in the tap room...

They bottled Space on at least one occasion. It's better on draft imo.

The tap room is tiny and loud, have never walked in and been able to find a seat... Always just opt for a growler instead

It's a great little tap room, though. The issue is timing; I've only gone towards the end of the work day (got out early) or right after work, and you can find a seat then. On weekends, or at like 6, 7 pm? Good luck.

I thoroughly enjoy that taproom, but it is way too small. I've made the mistake of getting there too late and have had to walk out due to the limited seating and standing room. It is too bad they can't open that spot right in front of the garage as overflow space. Also I don't think they will ever can space.

Oh yeah, you're definitely right about it being too small. Unfortunately, a lot of cool places in Chicago are like that (just ask someone waiting 2 hours to get a table at Au Cheval). Either way though, hopefully they'll be able to take some of the brewing space in the original location, and use it for the tap room at some point (since they can now brew/can elsewhere).
