Speaking of, @Yourahoser was nice enough to go through and figure out for me everyone that hasn't gotten their box yet, much simpler than hoping everyone BM'd me (most did, some did not). I'm going to give those folks a few more days for boxes to land, but now that we're officially outside the window, I'm gonna start prodding people.
I'll send you my info to join. But instead of having everyone sign up again, how about you we keep an initial list and then whomever receives the box, picks one of the remaining targets. Or did I read it wrong and that's how it is. Add a photo spin to it...throw in a disposable point and shoot camera. Everyone takes one photo. When it makes the rounds, develop and share.
That monster is like Cthulhu, it had been resting beneath the surface, only mentioned in hushed tones behind closed doors... @Yourahoser just awakened it and gave it its corporeal form. ...by which I mean something like 8 people in here have said something either in the thread or privately to me about continuing this thing. It was inevitable.
What you are suggesting is typically how a "Traditional BIF" (one box makes the rounds, vs a "Shotgun BIF" where everyone sends to someone at the same time) usually works. In The Locals thread, however, there are three Traditional BIFs that do sign-ups on an "as it goes" basis like this, and it has been working VERY well. There's two main advantages, first someone could sign up now but in 3 months not be in a position to send out a box, signing up each time the box is going to go out allows that person to stay out during that time; second, a person that is not in a position to sign up now, might be interested later. As a bonus, it also allows for the group to grow without being exclusionary to the new people or have to add names ad-hoc.

I'm down to continue in whatever way we can with this. The BIF is a ton of fun and much better than hanging out in the ISO:FT forums.
I'm definitely down for this thread to continue into the future, and will surely participate in future rounds. If Round 2 is going to get off the ground as quickly as some are asking for, I'll probably have to abstain from participating, but will volunteer to run it again. I wouldn't feel like my toes were being stepped upon if someone who is going to be in the round wanted to run it, but I don't at all mind doing it so no one needs to feel obligated to take it off my hands, I just want it to be clear that I'm not trying to be "the boss". If someone is going to take the torch, I'd appreciate the opportunity to talk to that person ahead of time, again not in an "in charge" way, I just want to help, and to ensure the group is in good hands. With all that said, I will say that despite the eagerness of some, the participant pool will probably be stronger if we give it a few more weeks, just my $0.02.
When the time comes, I don't mind taking on some responsibility. I have an office job, which gives me a little more time to piddle in here. Just a thought.

Nice! I'm in for round 2! I second waiting for a few weeks and then get it going again since people are still waiting for their boxes...as for the Locals, I'd definitely be in after a few more rounds of this awesomeness!
