I keep reading this thread, which just furthers my anxiety about them running out of Black Maple before we get there Friday evening. Making a 7 hour round trip, always enjoy the drafts and food, but I'd like to come back with some beer.

 

Brewmaster Brad Clark will be at Fat Head's brewery in Middleburg Heights, OH today working on the Liquid Courage collaboration brew with them. To celebrate the occasion, they will have a JackieO's Tap Takeover starting at 5pm including:

Chomo Lungma (Taps at 5pm)
Mystic Mama (Taps at 5pm)
Paw Paw Wheat (Taps at 5pm)
Mandala Simcoe Hop DIPA (Taps at 5pm)
Oro Negro (Taps at 5:30pm)
Bourbon Barrel Black Maple (Taps at 6:00pm) (No growlers. Available in 5 oz. sample size.)

 

I completely agree. JO's by far has the friendliest, most pleasant staff of any brewery I have ever visited. I look forward to talking to the them when I visit, as much as I enjoy drinking the fantastic beer.

 

This is not necessarily a Jackie O specific occurrence, but indicative of Athens in general. Athens townies and OU students are generally among the nicest/coolest/laid-back folks you can ever hope to meet. Can't wait to get back tonight! (End obvious homer alumni rant)

200? If 80 cases or so were sold the first day, that means they sold about 130 cases yesterday?

 

At least. That is what the bartender told me and she asked Art and they have some offsite as well

 

Word I got was just around 300 total(on and off site) as of opening today. Seems like plenty to at least get into a good chunk of Saturday, if not all day.

 

I will be making my first trip this weekend, which site do I need to go to to pick up bottles?

Contemplating the drive down from NW Ohio since I've never had BBBM, the 4 hour drive one way is my biggest obstacle to convince myself to do it. Fear it's gone by Saturday is growing as well.

 

Get up a 6:30 and go on Saturday. Just do it. You won't regret it.

 

I know there's already too much fearmongering and stress on these boards, but if they sold another 100 today, and they sell twice that on friday with everyone driving down, Saturday is looking like a nice day of draft beer, cheese curds, and awesome bartenders.

 

They sold 100 cases today? As of just now? Wow.
