To keep from getting overcome with multiple shifting weekly threads about what's brewing, transferring, dryhopping, etc., it was suggested to see how a monthly brewing roll call works. If you are brewing, blending, racking, kegging, cleaning, clubbing (brewclub activities), dryhopping, or anything that runs the gamete of homebrewing beer activities, feel free to post em. As usual, if you have questions about someone's post, click the reply button and leave a response.

    A few guidelines:
    • Keep it all beer related, per the rules of the site (no non-beer fermented beverages posts).
    • Post as you go - instead of posting on Tuesday that you plan to brew on Friday and it falls through and then we get the followup post on Saturday that you didn't brew yesterday, then a new one on Wednesday saying you will brew on Sunday the beer you didn't brew last Friday. If you brewed, tell us, if you cleaned, tell us, if your mashed in and the burners are up, tell us, etc. Pictures relating to the activity are always welcome.
    • Lets try to avoid multiple posts about not brewing because of weather, in laws visiting, the Apocolypse, etc. The thread is opened to any brewing related activity, so if you are doing a brewing related activity, tell us, if there is nothing going on with you that is brewing related, we will know by the lack of telling us.
    • Seeing as this is an inaugural posting for shifting the way we post about this stuff, lets try to keep this actual thread to brewing related responses. If you love the idea, just hit the like button per the code of conduct. If you hate it, feel free to start a different thread saying something helpful for why you hate it and others can discuss there. Let's not riddle this thread with "This is great" or "This is stupid" responses.
Let's see how this goes and evaluate from there.

Will be brewing an Equinox / Cascade beer or a Comet / Ahtanum beer this weekend. Scottish ale yeast and 7%. Should be perfect brewing weather.

Kegging a kettle soured Berliner, Mango Berliner and Passion fruit/Lilliko'i Berliner tomorrow morning. Have five other kegs of fresh beer carbonating (IPA, DIPA, rye session pale, Blonde Stout, Blonde Ale with Hallertau Blanc) and six other full kegs (2x BA Stout, BA barleywine, Imp Stout, Blonde Stout, IPA) in the kegorator. Good times.

My "Straight out of Hopton" IPA is currently nearing one week in the fermentor. 2-row base with some carapils, caramel 60 and Belgian special B, bittered with Chinook and flavored with Citra. Hoping for a slightly malty IPA with just enough bitterness to keep it refreshing.

Brewed an El Dorado Pale Ale this afternoon and dry hopped an all Zythos IPA. Kegging a Heady clone tomorrow, dry hopping an all Equinox Wild DIPA and then I'm bottling a batch into 2.5 gallons Berliner Weisse and adding salt and coriander to the other 2.5 gallons and bottling as a Gose...while bottling, I'm going to brew up a 6 gallon no boil Berliner to add immediately back onto the yeast/lacto cake.

Let me see if I have this right: I have PRESENTLY, AT THIS VERY MOMENT boiling my APA IPA. Gravity seems like it might be coming in a little low, though it's hard to be sure at this point. Aside from that, I need to check whether my 80/- has finally finished and see how my dubbel is coming along. And my tripel is finally ready to drink, though that's mostly a topic for a different thread.

I'll be looking to pop a bubble on a Kolsch yeast and get something going there. I also need to brew some big beers. A Barleywine and an RIS in the same weekend, maybe.

Thanks... mostly I just wanted to avoid getting the gonna brew, didn't brew, gonna brew it this weekend instead that we saw in the weekly threads (I was guilty of it as well) remaining in the monthly format. No biggie.

I firmly believe all posts so far will be beers made in October.

Not sure mine qualify. The Flanders was started in 2014 I thank (maybe October ?), and the Berliner was started in September 2015. I doubt I'll package the fruited beers in October. I'm not at all clear on these questions of birth. Given the various yeasts, bugs, and bottle dregs that have gone into their preparation, I might need a paternity test just to prove that I'm the Brewer.

Pulled the dry hops out of my Falconers Flight / Topaz beer and nearly passed out from the massive hop aroma. Should be drinkable in a week.
