That's what happens when an unknown distillery brews beer.

The Lost Abbey Ten Commandments. I really thought I'd like it but it was a lethal combination of too sour and too boozy.

Man, I couldn't disagree more with this. I much prefer it to the regular Stone IPA. To each his own!

Wasn't bad at all. Just doing a review on it and it just really isn't very flavorful. So I dumped a third of it.

If the girl came with it I would certainly have finished it.

I don't know what cape gooseberries are supposed to taste like, but if this beer is any indication, they taste like NyQuil and dirty pennies.

Abita Purple Haze. Smelled decent, made me gag upon first sip.

Are you aware that this is essentially a gluten free beer? I believe Stone did not want to go through the work of officially claiming gluten free so it is 'gluten reduced'. So for a gluten free beer it kicks serious ass! Although it seems many are not aware of this. (My significant other is gluten free)

it's been awhile, but the last wasThree Floyds Tiberian Inquisitor. I forgot I had a bottle. It was revolting in every possible way.

Well that certainly explains it then. Not to dissuade Stone from producing it. If I ever find that I am allergic to gluten, then I will definitely be purchasing it.

And sometimes........they are just bad beers. I love DFH, but they have put out a bad beer or two in their history, as has Magic Hat (Wacko to name just one). I hear what you are saying, but there are bad beers out there......and there are bad versions of good beers out there too. It's just the reality.

whaaaat, that's a great beer. and it definitely resembles an IPA, very hoppy and citrusy.

but if that's your opinion then so be it!

I hate mosaic hops. Been told I just haven't had the beers that are utilizing it properly. Apparently that one doesn't either.

Drain poured an entire 6 pack of crooked can McSwaggerrs red ale. Took a sip out of 3 different cans to confirm. Only my second ever drainpour.

I had to drain pour a few bottles of Southern Tier Warlock for having some major trans 2 nonenal and diacetyl flavors going on. However, the Warlock was a 9 months old and I was able to buy a case for the price of a 22. I know it's not everyone's favorite but for that price I'll take it.

I can pick out 3 or 4 beers posted on this page alone that I enjoy. You can say some beers are bad. You can say well such and such beer was old which is why I did not like it. You can say well I don't like pumpkin beers or a specific hop profile. Fact is people like to complain and this is the perfect thread for them.

Game Changer IPA from Red Hook. Buffalo Wild Wings is really pushing this, but my god it's awful.
