    Mornin' all. Gotta love it when there's an NFL game at 9:30 in the morning on the east coast. It should be like this every week. Guess I won't be making it to church today so gotta get my fill of Jesus somehow. Praise the Lord. Cheers boys and girls.

    Grüβe aus Bamberg. Aecht Schlenkerla Maerzen from wooden cask. Smoke is not as intense as the imported bottled version. Very smooth and drinkable. Atmosphere is outstanding as usual.

    Always awesome, my go-to Oktoberfest this year along with Great Lakes. Big flavors of honey, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with balanced herbal, grassy, light peppery hop flavors. Super clean and robust malt flavors with balanced bitterness. Love this beer.

    A fantastic DIPA. Aromas and flavors of huge peach, pineapple, passion fruit, mango, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, and pine; balanced by honey, light caramel, and toasted bready malts. Good sized pine/citrus rind bitter finish; with a smooth and sticky/resinous mouthfeel with a touch of slickness as well. Just all around super juicy on hops. Glad I got a full six pack.

    This year’s batch is definitely super smoothed out on the booziness now. Huge flavors of caramel, raisin, cherry, fig, date, vanilla, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, toasted oak, and light molasses. Balancing bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish against the sweetness; with only a small lingering warmth after the finish. Incredible stuff!

    Cellar grabbing a 2011 4D. This is pure heaven as expected. Huge flavors of caramel, molasses, raisin, prune, fig, date, vanilla, toffee, toast, light chocolate, tobacco, leather, and herbal/woody earthiness. Minimal herbal bitterness on the finish; with still has incredible balance and zero cloying sweetness for 13.5%. Creamy, slick, and dense mouthfeel. This is one of the best old ales I’ve ever had, and the bourbon barrel version is even better and in my top 5 beers of all time out of 3600 reviews. Only Hair of the Dog Adam beats it for the non BBA style.
