Another list. Here is a link. http://beer.underthelabel.com/stories/6080/best-american-unknown-breweries#1-Delaware
I know that they picked Hoof Hearted for my state because it was on an Ohio beer blog, but I stopped reading after I got to Oregon and read Deschutes. Legitimate lol. Weren't they in the top 10 in the country in terms of production last year? Pretty sure Oregon folks (and every single person on Ba) knows who they are.

Anyway, I wouldn't argue with the Ohio pick. Some others would probably throw out 50 West and JAFB. Chime in for your turf.

Kane is quite well known, even out of state. That being said I came here to say Climax Brewing from Roselle Park. I havent had any of their stuff in a while, but their ESB and nut brown are fantastic.

Stoneface (NH) is great but wouldn't really call them "unknown". Using that guideline I'd probably go with Garrison City Beerworks or Kelsen.

Also lol @ The Alchemist being unknown.

Nice way to accumulate page views by requiring a new click for each state. Bad enough I clicked through all of it just to get to their joke of a pick for New Mexico. Boooo.

For some reason I kept clicking.........Have any of you guys heard of The Alchemist from Vermont? He brews this stuff called Head Topper. It sounds pretty good except they put it in a can. Too bad it probably tastes like Bud Light..........

NM is laughable. I'll just be kind and leave it at that.

You'd be hard pressed to find a town in Oregon that doesn't have any breweries. Hell, even Dundee has one now, and it sucks there. So how is our largest brewery our most unknown, and how is their "popular" beer one that they don't even bottle?

Looks like we should just skip the whole reading their list part and make our own

Agree on Fremont for Washington and Alewerks for Virginia. Alewerks bourbon barrel porter is a great beer.

Let's say its a legit pick, who would you go with? I'd almost have to side with Blue Corn, Second Street, Chama River, or Boxing Bear. Bosque was/is sorta kinda known now. Canteen seems to only get mentioned when you tell people its close to La Cumbre. Would Duel be thrown into the mix too? Nexus is more known for their food than their beer currently. But their beers aren't bad. Whenever I visit, more families and adults on a date are simply grubbing out without a thought on the beer menu.
I thought for a second they forgot NM was a state.

Alaska's pick was Midnight Sun. My choice for an under the radar brewery would have been 49th State or St. Elias

A lot of misnomers for sure (Really? Uinta? Side Project?) but I would somewhat agree with Kuhnenn as a homer. Most beer geeks would know of them but with a lack of distro a lot of Michiganders don't know of them. That DRIPA tho...

I'm going with R. Shea Brewing in Akron. It's actually pretty unknown, only a few weeks old and has no hype or reputation yet. All the beers I tried were solid. The owner seems to into brewing whatever he wants instead of focusing on what's trendy, which is cool.
