I smell a freshly roasted j of something you weren't used to for that amount of confusion, and the gatorade, pack of smokes and fritos doesn't help your cause.
I'm so confused right now. Really?
How could you ever mistake Sam Adams packaging for Sierra Nevada? How could you mistake long neck bottles for short neck?

Don't be ashamed. I once went in for a 6-pack of Lagunitas Sucks and came out with a pack of Raspberry Dasani. Boy was my face red!

One time I bought Lagunitas ipa instead of hop Hunter. Actually I didn't that never happened.

However I have gone in with the intention of buying one six pack and bought three

I went in to get a 4pk of 2015 Bigfoot. Come home, they're marked 2014. Went back and got more.

On the plus side, they were delicious.

I've made it to check out with Smoked Porter before thinking it was SSR as well. Luckily I was at TW, so I caught it while watching the little screen on the swipey thing as they rang everything up. Sadly, we'll never have the chance to make that mistake again......Very much miss SSR...

Never happened with quality beers. Accidentally bought a 24 or 28 of Molson Light instead of regular Molson. That stuff was nasty.

And people wonder when brewers go to lawyers because packaging is too close to another. Finally we have an example here....

Haven't had the SN but the SA wasn't bad, at least to me.
I usually FORGET to get the beer I originally went to pick up at the store, instead of picking up the WRONG beer.

I've bought some beers I wish I hadn't purchased, but none by mistake that I can remember.

Seems to me, that as a general culture we are more distracted and have decreased reading skills.

This happened to me just the other day. I went in to grab a 4 pack of Fruli and by accident I walked out with a Speedway Stout. Honest mistake.

I meant to buy a Shock Top Chocolate Wheat beer, one of very few "American Dark Wheat Ales" to tick that style, and without realizing there were two different beers grabbed a bottle of Shock Top Shockolate Wheat, which is not of the same style.

I already wasn't looking forward to drinking something from Shock Top, and once I realized it wouldn't even get me the style tick I was hoping for, I was even more sad.

ISO: Any American Dark Wheat Ale.

Can I throw a little bit of hate to the haters? Or is that just wrong? There's no need to get nasty, we're all brothers here, right?

To those who've admitted to their mistakes - great! And I think Lurches has topped that one... I've bought several German beers that have been 'other than what I was looking for' because of the similar labels - fortunately they've all been good.

This happens to me all the time when I'm out looking for chicks but mistakenly pick up dudes instead. People all look the same to me with the faces and arms and whatnot. I wish people wore labels clearly explaining what they were.

We've all done it in some fashion, one time I thought I was buying singles of The Brother and The Sister from Fremont, turns out I bought The Brother and their Summer Ale. Only ticked because I was buying it for someone else.

I prefer the Sam Adams, much truer to the style so I'd consider that an upgrade.
