I am also a little underwhelmed, but this is my first time having Wet so perhaps I would building it up a bit.

As it warms up in almost get a super skunkified flavor, like I'm drinking a wet hop Heineken. I can see where the Belgian yeast tones could be mistaken there.

In fact the first sip I had, skunkified was the first thing that came to mind.

But that's simcoe for you, skunky cat piss.

I will also say that I am very underwhelmed. Very slight nose, which is Sierra Nevada-esque. Pretty good biting finish, but I find it pretty one-dimensional! Not a $15.99 a four-pack imho. Glad I only bought one.

The wet-hopped Heineken reference, I have to agree 100%

I'd agree pretty spot on with SN Pale Ale on the nose.

What is all this light nose talk! I'm actually stuffy from allergies and mowing earlier and get quite a bit of nose! I recommend it! Very decent!

It is ok...I can't say I would recommend it to anyone...you will be much more impressed if you go into it expecting an average dank IPA

    1. think its delicious. very resiny which I like
    2. it doesn't have an ABV printed on a can...is that legal?

On thing I can say is it is super crushable...easy to down a can in no time....especially when you are craving the flavor of clear but dry summer grass that a cat recently peed on

Wow! So over priced here in Rochester! 14.99 at Falls Liquor per my buddy. I think I will hold off until I am up in the cities this weekend. Just crazy that they are charging that much. I have a feeling it's going to sit on the shelves down here at that price!

Too each their own and all that but I am really enjoying my 4th can tonight, and I cannot began to fathom comparisons to Heineken. Although then again I probably last had a Heineken nearly 10 years ago.

Anyways, some states (I'm pretty sure) require ABV but the feds do not

it reminds me of green lollipops from the bank teller. that's better than cat piss.

The worst part about a beer being described as cat piss, is knowing what cat piss smells like... and being ok still drinking said beer.

I'm a little confused by the complaints. These people must just not like simcoe? There's nothing average about its execution here.

Its not complaining, its just stating the facts or people opinions

I'm curious how many of the posters saying that they are underwhelmed have never had a single hop Simcoe beer or maybe even a wet beer before. I'm not saying these opinions are wrong - I just wasn't too excited when I heard Wet would be all Simcoe. I'll pick up a four pack but my expectations are much lower than those who expected a lot.

You are right I don't think I have ever had a wet simcoe single hop IPA
But there was a lot of hype around this beer... 1) from surly having release parties in multiple states and 2) form people who have had it in the past raving about it
