    Best bars for pregame, postgame, or viewing pro-hockey games. . . .

    Whether your watching or playing, hockey and beer go perfect together. Whenever my travels take me to a new city with a hockey team, I always look for the best bar in "walking" distance for pre and post game libations. So share your favorites and recommendations for your team(s)

    First: Washington Capitals/Verizon Center : R.F.D.'s on the 6th st. Best bar in DC by miles anyway (and they had Double Dead on tap this week :slight_smile: )

    RFD is a great Caps joint and beer spot by far, great place for CAPS and brews!

    haven't tried that yet, but Detroit Brewing Co near Comerica and Ford is awesome (aside for running out of everything), and of course theres Hokeytown Cafe. . .but, they "aren't really" in walking distance of The Joe . . . but they will be to the new arena :slight_smile:

    Dolans in Burlington City, NJ. Used to live two blocks away. The carry things like Allagash, Abita, Neshaminy Creek and Dogfish Head. Such a great place

    Not what you asked for, but O'Connor is now canning Hop Trick, a beer once made solely for Norfolk Admirals games at the Scope. Unsure how long the run will be.

    Boston- Halftime Pizza, 32oz pours, for the price of a 12 oz inside the Garden.
    Montreal- Peel pub, one of the few places I didn't get harassed wearing a Bruins jersey...

    When we were living in Chicago, we loved hanging at Pequod's Pizza during a Blackhawks game... decent beer selection too.

    I would have thought that Cheli's Chile Bar would have been a natural to be an answer to this thread, especially given Cheli's player and coaching background with the Wings. I'm not from Detroit to give it a try, but I took a quick look online and it sounds like the place is not a craft beer mecca.
