Anyone know of any pulse wave cans going on sale today in NYC? Or is it already sold out everywhere.

If the last can release is any indication, cans will continue to drop this week, some places on the list will get them, others won't so I wouldn't bank on all those stores actually getting them. I'd just pay attention to beermenus and try to get them ASAP when they post. Seems like a bit of luck is involved...

After running around chasing pairs of afterimage cans, I might just keep an eye out for a local bar to get it on draft, tick it, then move on.

I tell you what, if I find two cans, one is earmarked for you.

Agree with @Tbub18 that a bit of luck is involved as some places close to me sold out super fast. Will see if Gotham West still has some & also swing by WF Columbus today. Check back often as folks seem to be good about reporting findings here.

I only got 2, but if you're local to me I'd probably part with the second. Assuming no one stumbles across a larger stash of them today.

Wait a minute, I think @markgugs is going to get more Pulse Wave than any of us!

    Let me try this....

Citra, Amarillo, and Mosaic are the worst hops ever. I have not had a decent beer featuring any of those hops. If you think you could help me learn to appreciate their flavors and aromas, I will gladly take any beers you'd like to donate to this educational project.

Haha, put me down for Nelson then. That one is really awful. Send me all those in case one can change my mind...

Spoke to Foodtown of Harlem - said he wasn't sure if Pulse Wave was coming but if it was it would be Wed when they get their shipment.

Thx, you saved me a trip. And a wait in those long a$$ lines because while I'm there I always have to at least grab something.

Agree with you on Amarillo and Mosaic. Don't quite understand the hype. Citra, on the other hand, is a delicious hop. By far my favorite. HF Double Citra (which was available around the city, and I assume will be again) might be the best DIPA I've ever had. To me, Citra hops have a very pleasant hop aroma/flavor without the associated bitterness.

Completely agree. Something just seems "off" with the Nelson hops. I once traded for Alpine Nelson before it became available in the city, and I almost drain-poured it.

No problem! I think the cans will only be available in the "On Tap" room, which is great because you pay inside and avoid the long line. Also, FYI, looks like On Tap is having a Founders takeover featuring KBS.

Ha, I think you missed the sarcasm in these posts. These were direct responses to @markgugs, who keeps repeating his dislike of Equinox hops and now has multiple people offering to send him a can of Pulse Wave. So the joke is if you complain you hate a certain hop you can get people to send you beers featuring those hops. So they actually like those hops.

@CraftFan5 Those were definitely sarcastic, but the to me Amarillo, Nelson, and especially all have an underlying sweet smell that almost smells like sweat (onions to some) to me. I could definitely see how it would be off putting to someone.

you guys... all the hops being discussed are amazing -- INCLUDING equinox
And yes, the herbal notes in equinox and amarillo have a lot in common.
Now if you really want something to complain about we could do an Apollo or Summit single hop DIPA one of these days.
