Rough Trading Experience redeemed trader @keags_beer

    Hey guys, looked into what needs to happen before these threads are made, and have nowhere else to turn but this site to make sure an issue I have with a current pending trader. We had started conversation about a trade back in August, and while I lapsed in communication for a couple days here and there due to school starting, we finally were able to get messages across in a timely manner to setup a trade. I agreed to send a couple different 4-packs of Hoof Hearted IPA's, a Jackie O's Oro Negro, and included extras and had the package sent to him as soon I could after he agreed to send me 4 New Glarus large-format bottles and some Todd the Axeman as apart of the deal. After I shipped his package, he messaged a day later and had mentioned his fridge became too cold, and some of his stuff exploded. He said Todd's were apart of the casualties, but the fruits survived. Frustrating, yes, but no where near the end of the world. He then messaged me the same day saying his package would be sent out, but alas after 4 days of no tracking information, I messaged him to find out what was wrong. He mentioned he was "busy", and did not hear again from him for three days in which he messaged me explaining his mom got in an accident. I sent my apologies, and gave him time for life to catch back up with him and sent the package. After a week or so of nothing, I was browsing my Instagram explore feed in which I found his beer page. I found it strange that he was so detailed in his trades being sent to him and his reviews of my beer and other beer so shortly after I got messages of being busy and his mom's accident. I then stumbled upon his Facebook page, only to find out he recently sent out New Glarus fruit beers, as well as to unfortunately find out his mom's accident occurred late August, not late September as he told me. I confronted the situation, and he promptly put together a package. It arrived today with 2 4-packs of Enigma and 2 4-packs of Berliner. Nothing that we agreed upon. I don't know where to turn anymore. I'm afraid if this thread is not made, then it will never be fixed. He stopped responding to messages on BA of me asking when the package would come and what fruits were going to be included, and I have resulted to text message awaiting his response.

    OP, seems that the agreed upon trade was for you to receive (4 NG Fruit 750s + x number of Todd the Axeman cans) but you ended up receiving (2 4 packs of NG Enigma + 2 4 packs of NG Berliner Weiss). Is this accurate?

    Leave feedback immediately. You can change it later, but if people don't see this thread, they should definitely see that there's been an issue (assuming, of course, that the story happened as presented). Not leaving feedback could put others at risk.

    Here is what is going to happen. My personal life doesn't need to be explained on here. Evan can call me when he has time. Yes, I screwed up the package, I admit that, but all the events that happened are true. It is my fault, but don't worry I won't be trading on here again.

    Seems like that might be the best for all involved.

    I will never understand why someone who messed up (and in this case, acknowledges it) would choose to come here with defensive guns blazing.

    This thread and the mention of your personal life wouldn't even exist were it not for your mistake. You have forced your trading partner's hand. You don't really have the right to get bent out of shape about it.

    Thanks again to @dmbforever for the generous replacement offer. I just got done speaking with Keags over text about how this will be resolved. I don't want to get into any more personal stuff of his more than I had to (which is the last thing I wanted to do, beer shouldn't ever come before personal life). He is sending me 2 Wisconsin Red's, 1 Raspberry, and 1 Serendipity. I told him not to worry about the Todd replacements as he already sent a package. He mentioned he didn't have access to the beers I wanted at the time, but wanted to get me a package. We have ironed out details, and he said he will ship Thursday.

    Just got an update with a picture of the 4 beers and shipping materials. I believe Keags is going to make this situation right.
