    does anyone know why the abv is so much higher this year? Just picked up a 4 pack and noticed it was 11.6 abv, up from the 10.2. Maybe they used fresh barrels this year? Does anyone know definitively why though?

    The Founders release calendar notes Backwoods as a November release.

    It also said something like October for Breakfast Stout, but it showed up in MN in mid September.

    Usually hits right around the first of November in the great lakes region. Nice that NY and GA get first dibs.

    There have been check-ins for 2015 BB on Untappd for a few days, but I assumed they were kegs. We have not yet seen this in the Chicago area.

    Damn, I saw where Sprayberry got some, but must have missed it at my local spot in Athens, assuming they even remove it from behind the counter.

    Interesting. We had cases of BB sitting at distributors as late as May in Pittsburgh. I'll have to grab a 4-pack of this version.

    Distibutors don't have it in Tulsa, OK yet. Usually shows up early Nov around here.

    They didn't get first dibs. Its that those wholesalers are either too stupid to hold it or simply don't care about Founders planned release date.

    If that is the case, hopefully new york and georgias 2016 allotment stays in Michigan. BB is a beer I could drink year round
