So, I just stumbled across this entire forum, and this monster of a thread. Recently I have become less interested in trolling the FT:ISO forums and this little community has me a bit excited about trading again.

I have to admit though, I am a little unclear on the rules for hopping in. To my knowledge I don't know anyone currently participating. Am I correct that my first move would be setting up a LIF for a current Local to win?

Edit: Alternatively, is there a FAQ somewhere? I wouldn't want to mess something up.

 

Generally newcomers do run a LIF though it's not "required" (just heavily encouraged) and then beyond that we normally have a round every 2-3 months. The 7th round just finished and the thread had its 1 year anniversary a few months ago, so we've had quite a bit of beer going around here.

That said, it's not a bad idea to browse through the thread and read up on some of the history because otherwise some uh... inside jokes might get lost on ya for a bit (2 week old zombie dust is literally trash).

Edit: That said, generally LIFs run by long standing members of the locals have a rule where only people who have sent LIF boxes/participated in rounds (sometimes recent round required, sometimes any round) can enter. Just keep that in mind if you go to start guessing in LIFs
