Think there was a thread on the new art recently--and they seem to have an advertisement in the most recent issue of BA, which shows a Solid Sender Ale, which I don't know much about.

All of these labels seem to also point to the main circular logo being replaced with the simple black guitar pick shaped logo.

Seems to be a mistake, as they've got 20 years of brand recognition.

Right. I just don't see the desire/need to reboot. My immediate thoughts are black guitar pick too.

Cursory research on the Solid Sender: apparently uses Cascade and Mosaic hops, 5.2% ABV and 45 IBUs. Anyone out there having tasted it yet?

Looks like the re-design is rolling out:

Eh, I like the rebrand. It doesn't change the beer for me. Troegs makes quality beer.

I appreciate that some are bound to like/prefer the old art, and others the new. But no one's suggested the good beer has changed.

Cant say that im a fan of the cartoonish looking Troegenator. Nugget nectar was seemingly perfect in its former design...especially in those sharp looking pounder cans. The new look is certainly....ugh different?

    Here's my unsolicited opinion...

I like all the new art much better...logo, designs, everything...new NN design included. Not that I disliked the old stuff, but the newer designs look much more..."crafty"?

I'm sure that's what they are going for. the hand-drawn look.

We agree on hops...but apparently not drawings of hops.

I like it a lot better...always thought the old Troegs labels had too much going on.

I like the old brewery logo much better. It looks much more professional. As for the label designs, I don't really care either way.

The website is now re-designed with all the new art. Thumbs down from me.

Also, another blog post on the artwork http://blog.troegs.com/?p=149

I guess they want to show off that it was designed by an authentic hipster?

I am not impressed with the new labels.

I like the old labels better but the photo several posts above alerted me to the fact that Hop Knife is apparently canned, which I did not know.
Will be looking for this because (IMO) canned IPAs are always better and the new design guarantees freshness.

The new Troegenator one makes the beer look kinda washed out and weak.
