Pretty amazing that Smutty retained talent like that for so long, they've definitely grown up to be a big brewery. I remember trying my first Finestkind over 5 years ago (I think it was one of my earliest reviews). It blew me away and I totally wasn't prepared for it. Hope he continues to blow me away with whatever he is doing next.
If he wants to go the consultant route, there are plenty of small breweries that could use a guiding hand as they attempt to make the jump to a more legit commercial enterprise. Dave's knowledge and experience of helping Smutty grow would be invaluable for those that looking to chart a similar path. Good luck to him.
Ahhh, bummer Dave is leaving, I wish him the best. I'm gonna miss picking his brain at events, lots of great beer chat with him. Esp. loved all of his early "short batches". A huge reason why I fell in love with, "Makin' Mine a Smutty!"
