    Just had this combo back to back & wondered if Ballast intended or if others have had, or regularly enjoy one brewer's beer back to back.
    Victory at Sea followed by Calm Before the Storm, paired well back to back.

    Last night some friends and I shared a bottle of Congress Street from Trillium and followed it up with a bottle of Upper Case. It was a good night.

    Uncle Jacob's Stout followed by Tweak.

    Getting heavily buzzed off 2 beers is pretty sweet.

    Personally I can't imagine this back to back being any good given how thin and flavorless Calm is and how big and flavorful Victory at Sea is. Maybe better the other way around.

    One recent great back to back was Surley Bender followed by
    Todd the Axeman.

    I've enjoyed a Founders Breakfast Stout followed by a Founders RIS to be a solid way to end the night.

    Right. Really the first time I had Calm I thought Meh, but after the BIG coffee & vanilla of Victory the lighter creamier Calm really hit the spot. With Calm colder is better, with Victory closer to cool room temp is best.
    Besides I usually start big & back off slow as the night moves on...

    Deschutes black butte followed by obsidian. Tasted almost identical with a slight edge for obsidian

    Lagunitas Hop Stoopid followed by some Little Sumpin' Extra!. Very different with the hop oils vs fresh hops, and a much different mouthfeel with the wheat added.

    I think my best same-brewery one-two punch belongs to draft pours of Cantillon Gueuze, followed by Cantillon Lou Pepe Kriek 2008.

    Karbach Sympathy for the Lager followed by Hop Delusion

    during the summer, Karbach Staycation followed by Sympathy (followed by Hop Delusion) works quite nicely

    Just had Full Pint All in Amber and then their King Kolsch. Enjoyed both for the first time out by the fire.
