With a name like 54-40, they'll have to do a Polk Pale Ale

    Will drunken brawls be allowed/expected?

    Wait, "or fight." Never mind.

I had one of their beers at the Pro/Am and was pleased. I'll have to stop by tomorrow.

I have had their wet hop and enjoyed it. I ordered something different from 54/40 for our opening at Ben's Bottle Shop, I don't want to give anything away but it is good. Great people making great beer. I understand the owner came from Old Town? So, this level of quality right out of the gate does not surprise me at all! Van was is moving up!

Not to go on a tangent (though it's expected around here), but if I were you I'd be hesitant to fill all 20 of your cooler doors right away. Even at (a conservative) 30 facings per door that works out to 600 beers, and unless you've got solid turnover from the get go you're going to have a ton of stuff going out of code.

We are not, I have no magic number and I have a wholesaler background so I have a special concern about out of code beer. Furthermore, I am working on a budget, a generous budget, but a budget none-the-less... We are also going to include several cooler doors of non-alcoholic (craft sodas, juices and so on) as we will have a full kitchen and will be family friendly until 8pm. Plus we will have at least one door of wine, sake and mead. I have no delusion or intention of purchasing beer just to hit a number and win the "coolest car" contest. We will carry a lot of beers and our cooler will look good full, but I want room to grow. Thanks for the advice, we are hosting a bottle share on December 17th at 6:00pm, at the shop if you want a sneak peak!
