So here I am, drinking a Sierra Nevada Celebration IPA in China. I'm far away and many, many years removed from my first introduction to the brewery that got me interested in craft beer. It was Fort Myers Beach and I was visiting my snowbird parents at Christmas. I walked into a grocery store on Estero Boulevard looking for beer. For whatever reason, I picked up a six pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. The world of beer began to change for me after that. Sierra Nevada has remained an occasional and very welcome presence in my beer experience and it was them that got me started. I appreciate that.

Awesome. No matter where you are, sometimes an original six is just what you need. And quite often it's a hell of a lot better than the newest hype brew out at the time. Cheers! (just grabbed a Deschutes Obsidian for similar reasons)

2015? if so, wow, the import pirates have been upping their game lately ;-) (SN, like many other craft brands sold in the country, has no legally sanctioned importer into china)

Got a 12 pack of SNPA for the first time in too long that I've been happily making my way through and I've been feeling the same thing. Such a great go to beer from probably the most all around solid brewery that I can think of.

I was sixteen and had traveled from Vermont to Oroville, California with my buddies Noah & Luke to work on an organic farm for the summer. I ended up with an insufferable case of poison oak (shoulda observed the full timers wearing long-sleeves and gloves in the heat for a reason) and the only thing that made me feel better at the end of the day was plunging into an ice cold tub while sipping the amazing local nectar called Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

There are very few (Anchor comes to mind) other breweries that have such a solid regular line-up

Every time I drink a SNPA or Porter or Stout, I am reminded of their legacy and impact to the world of well crafted beer....cheers to Ken Grossman and Sierra Nevada!

Looking forward to some Celebration soon!

I bet it's a 2014. Still, very enjoyable. Hello to China!

PS: Is anyone a Big Bang watcher? Did you catch the prominent display of SNPA on the show last night? Bottles of SNPA sitting on the table being drank with full frontal display of the label for a prolonged period of time. For the trianed eye, there was a bottle or two of Sculpin in the scene also, but the label was turned sideways. So my question, do you think SN and BP paid for that exposure or does someoene who works on the show love these beers.

I love Sierra Nevada. They can do no wrong in my eyes. Saturday afternoon while watching the Crimson Tide <boo hiss> I couldn't decide what to drink so I just grabbed a bottle of the ubiquitous Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. So familiar, like a pair of well broken in shoes. So tasty. Like spending time with a close friend.

Love SN, and especially love Celebration; one of my favorite seasonals from anyone.

My Celebration fondness goes back to my first holiday beer season here. I made a mix a six with Celebration in it. I was expecting another spiced holiday ale. (I honestly didn't know!) I was quite surprised, a little confused and disappointed, as I didn't have much experience with IPA's at the time. Flash forward to now ... and I am looking forward to the happy holiday hoppiness that is Celebration. Opening the first bottle of the season brings back the memory and a little smile. Silly, huh?

First time i had SNPA, i bought it because my sister said her boyfriend likes it, and she thought it was a great beer. I picked it up soon after. And i was into any brown ale i could find (pretty much only Newcastle) and german stuff, so no real hoppy stuff. I drank one and thought i don't know, this is super bitter its crazy. Opened a second one and warmed up to it. By the time the 6er was done a few days later, i understood lol. Every beer consistent, and a great one at that. Now since then, when i drink a beer, there is a different satisfied feeling when i had a hoppy beer and any other one. Sierra Nevada kept the door open for me to the world of hops. I wont forget it as funny as it sounds, beer is more than just a liquid to me. And while not my first pale ale, or craft beer even, i had Sam Adams and 60 minute previous but they were not to my liking, it guided me into craft beer while the other beers before it had put me off.

The brewery in Mills River is quite impressive. It's like if Willy Wonka quit making chocolate and made beer. Sierra Nevada rules and drinking ultra fresh SNPA from the source was a great memory, I can't wait to go back.

Sierra Nevada any beer is always in my fridge. Best, most consistant beer I know of. Others are also good, but SN I can drink year round. Can't wait for Celebration! Cheers!

I think we all have that special beer to our heart. That is one reason I like the fact that each brewery seems to stick with their core beer and doesn't mess with it.

First time I had celebration I thought the same thing, some cinnamon scented "winter warmer" type brew. "Fresh-hop IPA, hmm, wonder what that means."

    Boy was I surprised.

Seeing Celebration on the shelves makes colder weather a little more bearable.
