DC Releases Only

    This thread should be for beer releases in DC, and DC only. Not NOVA, not MD, just DC.

    Anything good out there?

    Considering a majority of the people can get to all three locations, I don't see why you want a redundant thread.

    Some of us work and live in DC and cannot travel out to NOVA to visit a TW.

    Is it really that bothersome to scroll down some posts though? TBH, we can create separate threads even for MD or VA but that's bothersome to visit 3 threads for releases. There's a reason they call us the DMV :wink:

    This will only reinforce the mods position that the area should be considered 3 separate areas, and kick the nova people to south atlantic with the rest of virginia. Just leave things how they are please.

    beernuts: a separate release thread is going to force all you VA people to a different region? Not to be a stickler, but Virginia isn't listed as a state under the "Mid-Atlantic" forum.

    Never noticed that; they are listed under South Atlantic. Certainly does not make sense for NOVA though.

    Right, I understand that, and I've brought it up to mods many times that it makes no sense to divide a major continuous metropolitan area between subforums, but they don't want to hear it. The DC/NOVA/MD thread we have now is good and works well, so please don't rock the boat.

    Considering I can get to DC or NOVA in 15 minutes, but would take me over an hour to get to the rest of the "Mid-Atlantic"..I would say your thoughts make complete sense.

    This is all relative. That's like saying it takes me 30 seconds to get from MD to DC if I lived in Friendship Heights. The "DMV" thread has become more of a "MV" thread as of late. Plus, how are you getting anywhere in 15 minutes with traffic.

    Look man, it is a community. Some have cars, some don't. Some live in MD, some live in DC, some live in NOVA. We are all a big group, we don't feel like dividing.

    I just went back a couple pages in the more efficient DC/MD/VA thread, and there are a ton of posts concerning stores/bars in the DC area and what they are getting. What more do you want?

    Don't know how accurate our home states are below our usernames, but most people posting about stuff in DC proper are "MD" or "VA". Tell your DC peeps to step their game up brah!
