Rim light would be nice for a little seperation and black would be really cool. I do have an Alien Bee strobe but didn't want to get carried away. I'm already getting the from the wife as it is. Oh what the hell, Strobe in the softbox and speedlight with a grid for rim. Maybe some glass to sit on for reflections. Stay tuned...
Final Call for this round of the CIF, entry deadline is Midnight tonight (EST). So far I have the following entries: @Homebrew @Elkevjoe @Steban @Bristopher89 @jonbonfondle @VetsPackage @RuckIt @jschott75 @Yourahoser @Eziel @Misterphinister @Amarangakis I'll put all the entries in a random.org drawing to determine the next recipient sometime this weekend, then I'll get the box moving ASAP and post some hints as it's moving. Cheers!
Get some white foam board's to use as reflectors or black one's to use to block the light (from hitting the camera or bottle). I've gotten those looks too. I use to do things all the time before doing it as a career. You never know where the hobby may lead. Niche photographers always have a good chance. Who says you can't be the go to guy for beer photography in Texas?
lol, get my name off that list! I'm trying to be responsible here and not be on the hook to ship half a dozen boxes in November! Replace me with @MikeMcGraw - I incorrectly suggested he wasn't eligible because his name was on the cushions - in reality he never got the CIF, just the cushions themselves, and IS eligible.
I think all the releases will draw a lot of people. But I don't think the Dinner release will be bad. I was there in June and it was very smooth. Heard April was a shitshow! For those going to MBC, get there early. I'd be there by 5. I was there around 6 and was around 175, which easily got me beer. But I know people were also getting back on line to go through again and get another case. Smaller breweries like Bissell could be shitshows since they are smaller and probably not ready/equipped for the amount of people that are going.
Hmmm...Side gig? Have you seen this beertography tutorial? https://fstoppers.com/commercial/how-light-and-photograph-beer-bottle-advertisement-41443 It would be an ideal setup.
@Elkevjoe Tell me about all of these Hoof Hearted IPA/DIPA's you've been knocking back. Sounds like they're in my wheel house and worth seeking out.
All are new ticks for me and I'll start on them tonight!Count me in for the #GIF if it hasn't already started
Just personal consumption. I'll give some bottles to better customers, my limited family and friends that will actually appreciate it, etc
Yeah, I've seen this. Cool little video, although I think the front light is a bit to harsh. Not too many people have 5 flashes lying around and all the equipment to trigger them. I have 2 speed lights, may have another one or two that are older. Don't have a way to trigger them all now. With newer equipment, it is a lot easier to trigger and control the output right from the camera and/or flash.
Love Hoof Hearted! This will be a quick LIF like this post and your entered.I'll have a name pulled tomorrow night!
