Line seems to be about where it was at 5am two D-days ago. Not that that means anything, could be less or more!

Surly will have volunteers staged along "latecomers" side of street to deter line cutter BS from last year repeating itself.

Also channel 4 is here? Smile everyone! You could be hungover on the news...

They just ran out of wristbands. Maybe 40 people shut out.

Well done with the line monitoring this year Surly! Making sure everyone recognized their line neighbors along with plenty of strategically placed security folks in the middle of the road went a long way towards keeping things organized and in line. Extra shout out to mother nature for helping to keep the line crowds at bay.

Pleasure meeting some new folks this morning and thanks for all the shares. I hope those of you that got wristbands towards the end enjoyed my celebratory 2013 Cascade Apricot Ale with me. :sunglasses:

Really well-managed line. I was impressed.

Seems like the only way you got shut out on wristbands is if you slept in or showed up at 9am.

I was very impressed with the volunteers this year. They were all friendly and kept the line cutting to a minimum

Last night Omar was walking around sharing beers with people and said he was bringing out some personal beers to celebrate because this was the "last one". Not sure what he meant by that but maybe this is it for the B.C location?

A couple from Ohio that was with our group (or just stick around) was talking to the creative director last night and they also said that this would be the last Darkness Day. They said it is just becoming too much of a liability.

Hmmm, vastly different from the conversation some of our group had with Mr. Ansari. Omar was asking how we thought to better run Darkness Day, tickets sales, lottery system, evenbrite was mentioned. Omar did say Darkness Day would not be held at the new brewery due to mpls laws; what those are, I don't know. Now, Omar did not say anything about this being the last event and none of us thought to ask. The subject matter seemed like the end of DDay wasn't even a thought.

Maybe he meant it'll be the last time you can camp out and get a ticket versus having to buy tickets online and then coming whenever you want. Essentially killing the small time feel of the event that will soon become a massive ticketed event like a dark lord day
