    Put away my mom's patio furniture today, then we went to a late lunch. Had a Sam Adams Octoberfest draught with a bowl of chicken gumbo. I had forgotten how solid an Octoberfest that is, very good on tap. Wouldn't hesitate to have it again if I saw it on tap anywhere. Only have had it in bottle form until today, and that's been a few years.

    I'll definitely have a bottle saved for the 31st but I can feel the malty notes starting to creep in. Spooky!

    I usually finish them in the oven if I'm convinced they had enough smoke or I suspect I may be too drunk to eat at the end of the day:wink:

    Had a flight at BJs restaurant. Piranha pale ale, hop storm IPA, thirsty dog hoppin Maximus , and 3 floyds Robert the Bruce. Plus blackened shrimp tacos. Good lunch.
