    Family came into town this weekend. Went to an apple orchard today and got some Apfelwein (apple wine). On the drier side, nice and crisp for a fall day.

    I took off tomorrow so it is a rare Sunday night for me! I like Prairie, but still dislike fruit beers. Though a saison, the raspberries are dominant.

    Man, I'm a little jealous, that stuff was way too good to be a one-and-done imo. Really hope it comes around again.

    Just opened and poured the Hopsmack you sent me. Dude...surprise of the bunch. I expected it would be good...but this stuff is great. It's f'in awesome.

    This is the kind of IPA I savor when I'm lucky enough to have it...feeling like the song below as I sip it. This beer makes me "feel that way."

    It was, relatively speaking, as non-plussed as I've been in a long time by a beer. Especially a beer as highly rated as that one is.

    Acidic as hell, sour. This is AWESOME. Ive been losing hope id ever see this in NJ, i saw it, but couldnt afford it since i used all my beer budget. A week later, still there. So happy. One of my favorite Wits now if you could call it that.

    This is sublime. Top 3 or 4 beers I've ever had. A year on it is tossing unexpected toffee and sweet licorice onto a beer that was already the epitome of smooth cocoa, bitter chocolate and traditional roasted 10% perfection. I literally cannot want more than this. Happy Sunday all!

    Only bought one bottle the other day at $7.99/ea. While very good I don't think I'll be buying more from the shop at ballpark prices.
    Now, wake your asses up, Eagles and play some football. I don't even know where to start with the Birds' poor play tonight. Halftime adjustments....

    EDIT: I really do like this, the $8 price point is ridiculous tho. I love the thick, syrupy, "chewy" texture. Tastes good too.
    The game: that last hit on DeMarco looked like a season ender, but he bounced back up. Then, boom, a 65 yard TD run. Finally, a spark.

    Trying Real Ale's seasonal Coffee Porter for the first time. This is a solid coffee porter. It's got a nice genuine coffee flavor, roasty malt and clean finish. Definitely good stuff and a great beer for a soggy fall evening.
