    A) Rouge is not in the Bay Area - they are in Oregon. B) They do not belong on that map.

Surprised Jester King isn't on there...

BAs are expected to read? Was that in the Terms of Use agreement that we all click yes on?

I find his lack of Le Cumbre in ABQ disturbing.

Had a beer at the brewery 2.5 hours ago. Better than many on the map.

Seriously. What the hell? Especially if you're going to head all the way up to Central Waters anyway.

I'd love to fly out to Florida, rent a car and work my way up to New England. Fly to Washington state, rent a car and work my way down through Cali. Sounds like priority project for my retirement.

This list is simply to someone's own preference. There are way too many great breweries for it to be a definitive list. The fact that Jester King, Karbach among others in texas are skipped over but Prairie with their QC issues are on the list is amusing in the worst way possible. You have meaderies, Rogue, which although wildly popular still I wouldn't consider them a best brewery on the list.

It's a good list. But it's no where near definitive, even taking in consideration the lazily done map with "THERE ARE BOLD SPOTS WITH LOTS OF UNNAMED BREWERIES!"

To each their own. Lazy clickbait write up.

Did you bother to read the first page displayed on the link? He picked 70 breweries from the Top 100 on RateBeer.

Just to play Devil's Advocate, Utah's brewers make some really good session beers (ABV < 4%). No doubt their laws are dumb, but the brewers there have adapted well and make really good beer within the confines of those laws. A few years ago I vacationed in Utah (they have some of the best National Parks in the country) and I drank surprisingly well. Furthermore, I was always sober enough to drive back to my hotel, which should be considered an advantage for a road trip.

You can hit up EPIC in Denver instead of SLC... they have a bigger facility and more beers.

You'd miss out on some of the best beers in the Midwest. You'd also miss out on Colorado. The MN breweries are a 14 hour drive from Colorado... just sayin'. Maybe from Denver fly up to Washington and head south from there?
(also with this road trip you would need trunk space to hold all your hauls).

I did read it. Just because he picked those doesn't mean it doesn't warrant criticism.

Honestly as much as I dig New Glarus brews I wish I had gone somewhere else instead. Who gives a shit about a self guided tour, I'd rather spend my time enjoying that brewery's beers in a tasting room or something. New Glarus was sorely lacking in that department.

Yes, the facility was cool, but drinking beer is cooler.

Its only self guided because the actual tours which are generally run by Dan or Deb Carey are booked up like 6 months in advance but if you time it out you could be there for the hard hat tour which takes you to the riverside brewery/ fruit cave and the hill top facility.

I agree its lacking in a tap room but there are several great restaurants that have a tone on of NG's beers on tap right in town. And its not like they don't serve beer at the hilltop brewery its just limited which I agree is kind of a drag.
