    What a great comparison!

I just asked my local go to craft store on Friday if they've heard when Celebration will be in.

I probably drink more of this than any other beer. I go through at least 2 cases every Halloween-Christmas, and I don't know if there is any other single beer I buy that much of year round.

I love the beer, and I've had a 6pk already this year, but it still annoys the hell out of me that they call this a fresh hop IPA.

Why? It is a fresh hop IPA.

Because it's hop harvest season? That's fresh hop, not wet hop. I'll be enjoying my 2 cases this season, with a little help.

One of the beers that is responsible for getting me hooked on craft beer, still look forward to revisiting it each year.

It's not "wet hop" or "fresh hop", or any other term breweries use to denote "hops picked off the bine and used before being dried." Sierra Nevada is the only brewery I'm aware of that makes the distinction between "wet" and "fresh", and it leads to unnecessary customer confusion, especially in the PNW where literally hundreds of breweries make actual fresh/wet hop beers. Everyone else uses the term interchangeably.

Let's make a comparison to cooking; if I harvest some oregano from my garden, dry it in my dehydrator for 48 hours, and then include it in my marinara sauce, would you find it odd of me to say I used "fresh oregano" in the sauce?

Let me guess, it's not as good this year as in the past.

Confirmed at my local CBC via Facbook. Really didn't expect to see it up here this early but I'm not complaining!

Please, get to Kentucky soon! This is the first beer my wife and I agreed upon and got her to try different more adventurous stuff. Of course, it doesn't hurt that it tastes great!

Sierra Nevada doesn't know how to brew a bad beer.

I love this beer. SN offers some of the best bang for your buck beers on the market. This is no exception.

If there was a notable difference between the first oregano harvested for the year versus the stuff later in the season, then no it wouldn't be odd for you to say It was fresh or first of the season.
