    Hmmm, this thread was already started once earlier today, and apparently (again) got merged with the previous days WBAYDN thread.....why, Mods?? Some days this happens and others - not.
    Difficult to understand the logic here....anyone care to enlighten us all as to why this happens some days and not others?

    Anyway.....another beer - a new one - Ohio City Oatmeal Stout from Great Lakes

    About time someone got this thread (re-)started! It happens, friends, particularly when the old thread is still active. :slight_smile:

    It's 7 am here in Oahu, and I don't quite have time for a brew right now (well, other than coffee). I'm still getting adjusted to the time shift (I'll probably be all set just in time to fly back to the East coast), but at least I've been sleeping in until 5 am. That's good enough, I think.

    Since I haven't had a chance to post pics lately (my internet sucks, plus the time shift is a killer), please indulge me, fellow BAs, and I'll catch you up with a few of the brews I've had lately. I know, it's not now (I can take a pic of my coffee, though), but at least I'm not trolling for likes with a ton of separate posts.

    Deschutes The Abyss 2014. It was worth the price (once, anyway). Most of their big bottles are actually pretty well priced, considering that they're a bar. Still, I don't know if I can afford to visit again; too many tempting options!

    PtE (courtesy of @JayORear ) over a game of cribbage with my fried @mokler who did me the great courtesy of driving me to the airport at 4:15 am the next day.

    And finally, a couple pics of my trip so far. Yes, this is a business trip, but I've never been to Hawaii, so I'm very much in tourist mode. :flushed:

    The USS Missouri fought in WWII; served as the very spot where the Japanese surrendered to end the war in the Pacific; and was later re-commissioned and fought in Operation Desert Storm. Man, what history!

    Very hoppy. This is no regular pale ale. Its like IPA level hoppyness. Tasty. Prost.

    This beer has been chosen to be paired with Louisiana Style Red Beans and Rice .

    My first Mekkeller beer and im not super thrilled by this beer being listed as a wild ale and tasting like a pale ale which in this case is what the bottle says so not complaining certainly a good pale ale imo could be funkier tho.

    Another hump day here in Florida, rained off and on all morning...sunny and blue skies now! :grinning: So hopefully the baseball field dries out in time for my son's game later this afternoon/early evening!

    I'm never quite sure how to rate gruits since I have no idea what bog myrtle or yarrow are supposed to taste or smell like - seems to be a herbal/medicinal mashup to me. That said, it's not too shabby.
