Morning BA's Thought I'd start this morning off with a beer that is considered one of the first "crafts" in my city apparently. St-ambroise pale ale, This brewery (mcauslan) has grown to quite a large brewery but is still independent as far as I know and they make a mean oatmeal stout. I'm excited to try this one. cheers![IMG]

Good Thursday morning, BA's......let's see if we can keep this morning's thread from being merged again

I always forget how good this beer is, especially in the fall....hints of crisp apple and a light effervescent finish; I dig it!

Cheers all.....drink well and often, and watch out for ghouls and goblins!

Ephamere du pomme is the best fruit beer I've had as of yet, Its almost as if apple juice was added to a witbier, Unibroue Can do no wrong. LA Fin Du Monde... need I say more. Proud to be from the province that created such great beers XD

Agreed.....Unibroue makes some tasty beers....I especially like the holiday beer they do for Trader Joe's here in the US; nice beer at a great price, makes a great gift for $5 as well!

    Poured into a nonic pint

Look : Honey-to-iced tea colored body, with a popcorn colored head measuring about 2 fingers. It recedes slowly to 1 finger and stays there for the duration of the review. Lacing is abundant and pretty. Opacity is nearly 100% in the body.

Smell : Biscuit and amber roast malts, behind that faintly pine and grapefruit notes. With imagination a little bit of fig and vinous notes can also be nosed.

Taste : Wow, super hoppy to start. But then, it balances out somewhat with a rush of roast amber and crystal malts, and ends with a touch of dark fruit and a buzzing yeastiness.

Feel : Superbly carbonated, yielding itself to supreme drinkability. It ends semi dry and leaves parch on the tongue.

Overall : Another example of how the PNW loves their hops. I like malty ambers, so this was not really for me. This drinks more like a red IPA, and is actually pretty similar to Lakefront's Fixed Gear Red IPA I had yesterday, but only a slight touch more malty. Definitely more in the pale ale territory.

    Mornin'!
Last night - finally got to enjoy BP Grunion on tap at Manitou Brewing, and tried their very own Brown Ale.
That Grunion was the shizzle. Reminded me of a West Coast version of half acre daisy cutter.
    Yet another bottle addiction...
