I'm a huge fan of Sucks, and I don't want to sound too hyperbolic here, but Born Yesterday blows it away. The amarillo hops had a strong presence in this.

As for Utopias, don't quote me 100% on this, but I could have sworn that he paid $400 or close to that amount at McNeilly's. I remember how excited he was to try it, and he didn't have a single ounce of buyer's remorse. I remember telling him that it was a pretty good deal too if I recall. Telling him that he paid double what it usually cost would have been like telling your little cousin that Santa and the Easter Bunny don't exist.

I live 5 minutes away from McNeilly's but oddly enough have never been there. 99% of beer I purchase to go is from Giant Eagle, which is probably why. And even though I'm so close to McNeilly's, I'm driving over in that direction, if that makes any sense.

Cool on their part though regarding the free growlers to a somewhat regular customer. There was a poster who used to frequent this forum who worked there. He doesn't post anymore, but the last post I saw from him was him mentioning to visit him, so he still might be employed there.

I really enjoy sitting and drinks a couple of ounces of Utopias over a half an hour or so. The beer is just so different and has the best smell out of any beer I've had. It's probably the only beer I would try to inhale rather than drink (if very hammered).

If you are near the airport or North Hills area, I have an extra bottle of Hop Stalker you can have.

If so, hopefully it lasts until Saturday. I'll probably stop down regardless, but thanks for the heads up.

Hop Stalker is still sitting at Giant Eagle Shadyside as well. At least a few cases left as of last night.

Still had a good bit behind the bar when I was there for lunch yesterday. I think sometimes people forget that they keep that cooler stocked with releases as well...

Anyone running to VE with some extra truck space, who might be willing to pick up a bomber of Enjoy After, I'd gladly reimburse them for their troubles and thank them for their effort.

This gets awfully complicated. Where's Sixpoint from? Goose Island? Stone? Yuengling? Pretty Things? Grimm? Tons of breweries either are so big that they contract out brewing in cities other than the city they were founded in, or so small that they don't have their own facilities at all and buy time at other breweries to make their beer.
I think one of the more important things in discussing "Pit

I was thinking about making this point, but the counter is that there really could be a best breweries in the Erie area list, and Voodoo Meadville is certainly a lot more in the Erie area than in the Pittsburgh area.

Brew Gentlemen has one of the nicest men's rooms I've ever been in. I mostly hang out at gas stations, but still...

Honestly, Utopias is worth shelling out some dough for a glass IMO. It's completely unlike any beer I've ever had and probably will ever have unless I splurge for some of Brew Dog's insane beers. It's more like a port than a beer.

I have a 2012 10th Anniversary, and I still am slowly making my way through it. I had some in May before my wedding and it is still holding up very nicely.

...and I was thinking about making this point (in response to my own post, because I like arguing with myself??), but the counter would be that they chose to open their second location in Pittsburgh and not Erie...therefore clearly making a conscious (business) decision to associate more closely with the scene here than in Erie.

Just grabbed a case at Banksville beer $45. For the value you can't go wrong with lagunitas

You opened a bottle of this in May and haven't finished it? While it's certainly a sipper, I'm not sure it's meant to be consumed over so long a period of time.

You may have already looked, but I saw some at shady side GE last weekend. Randy may be able to confirm this, although I have no idea how to alert folks on here.
