My Stash is not impressive enough for a picture, but my wife is a good sport. She has never said anything about the beer I buy. I let her get all the Ultra she wants!

 

HAH!!! I have 1 closet, 1 huge cabinet (holding about 45 bottles), 3 medium sized cabinets (each holding about 30 bottles), and 2 wine racks...Tell your wife she's getting off easy.

If I ever make it to the Hudson Valley, I'd kindly & humbly offer to help you reduce your inventory @cavedave .

 

Ones I have had success with are Stone IRS, Expedition Stout, Brooklyn Black Chocolate, BCBS regular, Mother of All Storms, Palo Santo Marron, and pretty much all the lambics, especially geuze. Most stouts do not improve. Wild ales are a complete crapshoot. So many I expected to do well, i.e. change for the better, or stay the same quality with different characteristics, and they really just became shadows of their former selves or even unpleasant.

My wife never comments on my beer cellar. That's because it's under the stairs and she never sees it.

Now, if we ever have a tornado in the area, Im in trouble.

That could also mean: "You have not drank enough beer!"

 

That's a good point. She said he possesses too much beer, NOT drinks too much beer...

 

After reading this thread, I don't think you have enough beer.

 

Well there ya go!!! Talk about killing 2 birds with 1 stone...you'll crackdown on your collection AND will spend quality time with her when she asks if she could grab a beer for you.

 

i have about twice that cellared..plus 20-30 in my mini fridge..

 

I don't see a keg there. What's the problem?

 

My wife has said the same thing, and what I told her was, I am a collector. She likes things like bags, she's, clothes etc. and I told her if she was willing to give up one or two of those things I'd scale back. She has since then shut the hell up and accepted that it's doing no harm that my hobby of collecting rare beers doesn't impact is financially any more than her belongings.

It IS a good way to spend some nights sleeping on the couch (Or INSIDE that beer closet.....)
