Do you leave the best for last? Or do you go straight for the jugular?

If it is a truly special beer, that is all I will drink for the night. For example, I finally tried Parabola the other night. I took the night to slowly sip the beer and enjoy it.

However, in general, I do the best beers first and the worst last. Why destroy the flavor of a great beer with the dominating flavors of the others before it? Go for the Jugular!

Hit the best first. Fresh taste buds.

Usually I drink in order of expiration date mainly and mix it up when I'm craving a certain one otherwise.

From subtle to extreme, so I can taste each one.

I drink the one I'm most interested in first (not necessarily the 'best'); that could be something new, or something I rarely get, etc. You definitely want those to be on as clean a palate as possible.

For me, there's no preconceived plan - I open my beer fridge and grab whatever catches my fancy.

Totally subtle to more in my face. For example the other night it was Pliny, Born Yesterday, then Green Flash West Coast IPA.

If I have one beer I already know I love and a bunch of new stuff, I'll save the one I've tried for last. That way, if the new beers are underwhelming, I can still end on a high note.

If I am going to drink something BIG,
I like to warm up with a Pale Ale or Pilsner just to get the taste buds going.

depends on what i have and what style..if it's an IPA..i'll drink it first..obviously want the hops as fresh as possible..if it's an Imp Stout,Porter,Barleywine,Quad,Strong Ale,Scotch Ale,etc..i'll savor those

Always go light to heavy regardless of rating. But that just makes sense to my taste.buds.

The ipa will come before the stout, never vice-versa.

I go for the jugular, starting with the best.

I step on the throat without even an understanding of mercy if the first beer is particularly special. Otherwise, I more or less follow the general order of the universe and go from small to big.

Anything approaching freshness deadline goes first.

Over the course of an evening, I will start high & go low, ABV wise that is...yet, sometimes it's schizophrenic, like last night.
in order; Nosferatu x2, Edmond Fitzgerald, Double Bag, Backwoods Bastard (2014), wrapping up with Waypoint Coffee Porter from Rising Tide.

If I'm only having ONE, then I start/finish the new one to have a clear impression of what it is (as others have suggested above, like TongoRad). If it's one of a series, I typically do it by ABV%, lower first, ass-kicker at the end. Cheers...
