Is there such a thing at tap houses? I have never seen one with a group at one only pints? At my Local place they used too, not sure if they still do? I would like it VS ordering every glass. So Ba I was just wondering if this is something I am just not seeing or the Pitcher is not welcome in such settings? Double fisted Pitchers please!

I have seen it quite often and brewpubs, but I don't think ever at any other kind of craft beer bar

Huh, come to think of it I've never seen that either. That will be $56 sir, it would give anyone pause, most pitchers here are cheap shit Bud Lights for $5.

If you ever make it out to NYC, there is a place called Dive Bar, http://www.divebarnyc.com, it is rated on this site. Excellent place! They do pitchers.

Pizza Port for the win! It's always great getting some pitchers there.

Not the optimal way to serve beer but then again it's just beer at the end of the day.

I was fortunate to find an unnamed place in Colorado that had pitchers of Pliney and RR Consecration. This was mind blowing!

Taco Mac down in the Southeast does pitchers of most of their beers. I think the only ones they don't are the special releases and their 11oz pours which tend to be higher abv.

Yup, all proper pizza places have pitchers of craft. A pitcher of sculpin is a wonderful thing.

Mellow Mushroom, a national pizza joint, does pitchers of most craft beers they have on tap. They just don't do the high ABV (8% and higher) stuff, usually.

I've seen it pretty frequently. They're usually around the average price of a growler, so $12-15. The places that do it around me won't do pitchers of high alchohol beer or other special kinds, though.

Rock & Brews (Gene Simmons sports/music bars) have a great selection of craft beer, and everything is available on pitchers!

They even have booths with 4 personal taps - self pour! They charge you by the ounce

When I was in college, we drank plenty of pitchers of Stone IPA at Stuff Yer Face on Eastern Ave. It's an odd place. It's both a full-blown college bar, but with a dining area that also draws families. They always have some decent taps and everything is available in a variety of sizes, including pitchers.

Not to change the direction of the thread, but I really feel like "pitcher culture" is dead.

I'm 25, so most of what I hear is from my dad and his generation, but rarely do I see a group of friends sharing a pitcher anymore. In college, I would partake in pitchers more often. Harry's at Purdue had only one special, and it was $5 Old Style pitchers on Fridays. That was a great way to unwind a week with friends.

I would order a pitcher of craft with friends the same way, although a pitcher of an imperial stout doesn't sound great to me. Now a pitcher of SNPA, Goose IPA, or maybe even Hofbrau Lager....sign me up.
