Seems like it wasn't that long ago that Sixpoint released 4Beans and now we have the label for 5Beans. As with the prior beers in this "Beans" series, this is an Imperial Porter with Coffee, Cocoa, Vanilla and with this release the addition of Cardamom. This beer will clock in at a big boy ABV of 10.5% and will be packaged in 12oz. cans. No word on release date yet.

If @Sixpoint hasn't already renamed this part of the brewery the Mean Bean Machine then I don't know what they're thinking.

If this is anything like 4Beans you can count on me buying a case, at least.

So I am intrigued, but what do the Romano beans add to the beer? Does it taste at all "beany" for lack of a better word?

i feel like most people dont really know what cardamom tastes like. i do, and i cant imagine it would fit with the flavor profile of 4 beans.
@Sixpoint please shed some light on why you chose cardamom?

Maybe the extra bean will give it a little extra body. Look forward to this.

Romano beans were traditionally used in the Balkan regions to add fermentable sugars, some proteins and mostly some "body" or mouthfeel to Baltic Porters; and no, it does not taste at all "beany"
