Yeah I thought about having two double IPAs and no lagers. I dig prima pils and trauger pils a lot but I really think the beers I mentioned really are more special.

There have been so many good craft lagers - especially pilsners - made in PA, though, it seems like a big hole to not have any represented. Kaiser, Pikeland, Stoudt's, Sunshine, any of Victory's...

No limited releases or tap only is going to leave out one of the best 2 breweries in the state for me in Jackie O's, and arguably the state's best beer in Bodhi. I can make a pretty good 6 of year rounds and seasonals though.

    With diversity in mind:
    Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter
Fat Heads Hop Ju Ju DIPA
The Brew Kettle White Rajah American IPA
Maumee Bay Total Eclipse Breakfast Stout American Double/Imperial
    Fat Heads Bonehead Imperial Red
Thirsty Dog Wulver Scotch Ale/Wee Heavy (Due to price point it is available year round, but I would consider it a seasonal technically)

for the record, I probably buy more Prima Pils in the course of a year than all my six-pack picks combined.

So, I decided to make two lists focusing on opposite ends of the ABV spectrum. Figured this would be more interesting than reading "two hearted" and "founders porter" for the umpteenth time. These aren't necessarily the 6 best beers in each category, but I tried to cover a range of styles and breweries.

    Lowish ABV:

    Short's Local's Lager (4%)
    Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere (4.5%)
    New Holland The Poet (5.2%)
    Founders Mosaic Promise (5.5%)
Odd Side Citra Pale Ale (5.75%)
    Bell's Best Brown (5.8%)

    High ABV:
    New Holland Black Tulip (9%)
    Odd Side El Dankarino (10%)
Bell's Third Coast Old Ale (10.2%)
Dark Horse Plead the 5th (11%)
    Arbor Fig Jam (11.5%)
    Founders Backwoods Bastard (11.6%)
