El Burro on Federal St is delicious.

Stopped by Full Pint on Saturday, can't say that I was all that impressed. Sampled a few beers and the girls got one beer a piece. It was pretty uninspired brewing if you ask me.

I liked the location but it is borderline dungeon in there at night with how lt is lit

Also stopped by Roundabout to try the Intersection and the Jacked Up. The Intersection was just a Brett bomb without much of the other flavors popping through. Loved the idea, and I imagine that it was a little better last year.

I really enjoyed the Jacked Up. Another solid stout with just enough spice to make it different and interesting.

For mexican food on the Southside, you have to go to La Palapa. I think they are BYOB also, but dont quote me on that last part. Their food is pretty awesome though, and more along the lines of authentic mexican food.

Emiliano's is fine, similar to Campesino (meh). and La Palapa is definitely the best mexican in the Southside and probably Pittsburgh. Jesus is from mexico and makes pretty much everything from scratch. Its legit.

And it was mentioned a few pages ago, but I can't tell you how many tacos I've pounded at that taqueria next to the Two Way Lounge in Chicago after $2 PBR pitcher night. I can't express how much I miss Chicago's infinite taco options. Growing up in Logan Square, hitting VAS Foremost and Taqueria Moran/Arturos is still a tradition I repeat every time I'm home.

It looks like ale smith is going to start selling in western Pa. I'm looking forward to some easily available speedway next month.
