Life in general is getting too expensive. High Life on the other hand is still $8.99 for an 18 pack...

special release beers absolutely...non-BA beers are selling for double the price of bourbons that spent 13 years in barrels.

We only just got Founders in TN about a year and a half ago so I'm only able to compare to prices I've seen in other states However, Backwoods Bastard 4pks were between $20-$22 and even more outrageous was Harvest Ale at $24+tax for a 4pk! Saw them both in other states for about half that price. Worse yet, Harvest, along with other fresh hopped beers, tend to sit in our local distro warehouses for a month or longer before they're ultimately released.

They're either going up or I'm drinking more.....I vote going up, but I'm probably wrong.

Everything will go up. I feel that some of the prices that the OP quoted were a little high as far as what I am paying. Still getting 4 pack of FBS for $11.49, etc. Everything will eventually go up, but hopefully not too fast. This hobby is already expensive enough for those of us that do not have the extra cash all the time to buy these beers....Cheers. BAs

Yes, several macro and craft suppliers announced price increases this fall. Some went into effect September 31st, others November 1st. Generally every brewery announces a price increase around every other year.....consumers aren't notified. Just distributors, who in turn, notify retailers.....then retailers raise their prices. Over last last 5 years, retail prices for many popular brands went from 7.99 to 8.49 to 8.99 to 9.49 to 9.99.

Forget the cost of supplies. This isn't about cost to produce. This is about demand, and prices will continue to rise as long as we're all continuing to pay them.
This is a capitalist society, so profits will be maximized.

We are the reason prices keep going up, especially on the special/limited release beers. Breweries sell less of their mainline beers because we are always buzzing about special releases and ignore some of the normal "shelf beers." Breweries make up for the difference by releasing expensive special beers.

Think about it, the simple fact that we have the term "shelf beers" is all the proof we need to realize we are the reason prices are going up.

That Bells 30th anniversary ale is so much more expensive than the last 30th anniversary ale.

Bell's 30th has never been made before and compared to Expedition I would say it's priced fairly. Breakfast Stout costs the same here as last year ($10.09).

I just did some math and it would appear that in the last few years, the price of craft beer has only gone up roughly 11% across the market when you look at all packages. So, are beer prices going up? Sure, but not particularly fast.

SN Celebration 12 pk for $13.99 is hard to beat for price and quality.

Based on all the quantitative easing we have experienced in the past 8 years its a wonder you can get a sixer for under $100. Count your blessings.
