I may be in the very small minority but I was underwhelmed and unimpressed with 4beans. Didn't really see anything super special with it. With that said I am interested in giving the 5 beans a try still and will pick up a 4 pack still

    Hah!

Well, you don't need to be a mad scientist to see the self-similarity of life.....slice a broccoli floret in half, and it looks like the branching structure of a human lung. Biology is fascinating - lots of species, plants and animals alike, are indistinguishable in the first few days of life.

Even though coffee might not be a "legume" we call it a bean because it has many of the anatomical features of one.

And even the germination of barley, to produce beloved malt (to make beer) has a similarity to it.

And that my friend - is pretty cool!

Cardamom smells incredible. I have a jar of it in my spice rack. I don't know why because I never cook with it. Maybe it's for baking. I just open the jar and take a whiff and it refreshes my senses.

When using it in beer, I suspect there could be a fine line in adding it to enhance the nose, but not making it taste strange.

I'm so happy there isn't a twelve step program for Beans and as a disciple of Serge I will wait impatiently for this.
This will be mixed with HiRes for a Hi5 black and tan

    Meh I'll just wait for 6Beans :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously though, I haven't had 4Beans, but this sounds pretty darn intriguing as well!

Excellent! 4Beans use to get me through my heavy physics 2 labs. 5 should do wonders for Diff. EQ.

Cardamom is a powerful flavor. I am familiar with it as a flavor in Thai Ice Coffee, which makes me quite optimistic about this new Bean iteration. Confident Sixpoint can integrate this into the rest of the flavors in this beer, because I've had many solid coffee drinks that manage it.

When the customer speaks, Sixpoint listens!

It took me a minute to track down 4Bean in my own backyard, but if I dig a little further I should come across 5Bean! Very excited!

@Sixpoint , keep it up! It's only right that you at least do 6Bean!

It's weird, but adjuncts like cardamom and chamomile actually work well in beer. Have used to good effect in homebrew.

Good to know! Somehow I had gotten under the impression that 4Beans was sans romanos, and I was like, "wait, how is this four beans?"

Looking forward to this. Sixpoint makes some amazing brews. Luved 3 Beans - enjoyed 4 Beans as well. Can't say one more than the other though they are def different but both extremely tasty.

Unfortunately 4Beans was a miss for me.

That said, I'll give 5Beans a go. And I'm hoping it hits me square between the eyes with bean-y goodness.
