I have the beer section for me and then the beer section for everyone else. Don't touch mine!

Living with other people = guarding your beer hoard like a dragon over treasure.

I have to drink a good quantity of a beer before I "tick" it... 6 pack, 4 pack, bomber, or growler, whichever one I get hold of first. To hell with that 3 ounce pour = tick crap.
I only untappd a beer unless its unique, and always with a pic. Got the level 50 pic badge a while ago, sad theres nothing higher :slight_frown:

If it is a weekday, I spend a considerable amount of time debating whether if I am going to have a beer and, also thinking about which beer I am going to pull out of my cellar if I do decide to drink.

I ask for beers not "on the shelf" at Whole Foods. Sometimes find Pliny, Alpine or IPAs from Nobel. Weird considering most people are grocery shopping

TONS of great responses on here...most of which I do the same things.

Its good to have community, otherwise we'd all be weird.....

    A brief note:
    1) If I go into a store/gas station that sells beer, I'm checking the selection.
    2) I go into my areas best bottle shops/stores several times a week to ensure I don't miss something.
    3) I save empty bottles of beers I exceptionally enjoyed.

We all do these things! Cheer! To community!

That sounds like a good tip to try out at other stores.

Now my DRUNKEN self does this weird thing where I suddenly assume my BMC drinking friends may have converted since the last time I saw them so I start opening imperial stouts for them.

They sometimes refuse so I sacrifice them to the flying spaghetti monster.

I try to drink in season, Ex. Oktoberfest and Autumn Fest beers in the Fall, Christmas Ales in December, Stouts and Porters in the Winter, Bocks in Spring and IPA's Wheat beers, Pilsners and Lambics in the Summer. This feels right to me however I do not strictly stick to this schedule.
    Yes, I am strange.

I collect beer glassware, prowling the thrift stores for new finds. These are added to my collection I got while living in Germany for 7 years (more weizen glasses than you can shake a stick at!). So I like to drink a beer out of the glass from that brewery, if I have it, unless its completely inappropriate for the style. Totally geeky I know, but it just feels right...

If the bottles have prices on them, I remove them so it doesn't remind me how much I spend on beer alone...:slight_frown:

Its Weird when you ask for a beer and they say, "ask the cheese counter." when they don't have a beer department.

When I drink a macro brew, I add a couple of green olives and a pinch of salt. Learned it from my dad, he called it a poor man's martini.

I got in a huge debate with someone because I blended 2010 bourbon county vanilla with bavss. Not whole bottles of course just the last few ounces. I see nothing wrong with this
