Sam Adams is back on my radar, love the Rebel series. I'm especially intrigued by the sparkling ale as my palate likes higher carbonation. I have been hearing a lot of love for Old Fezziwig and am looking forward to trying that one too. I like sampler packs in general but really appreciate having six different beers, variety is a good thing.

The Rebel is $12.97 here a 12 pack. It's good and consistent, hard to pass up. Looking forward to the variety pack, I've only had the Boston Lager from this bunch, so, lots of new brews to try.

Havent bought a Sam Adams beer in a long time, but will be picking this up if I see it for sure. Old Fezzi, Holiday, and Chocolate bock make it worth it alone.

I feel like the answer will be no, since as you mentioned there are already six instead of four different beers. Maybe they will throw cranbic in

I liked it. It was a very "Dry" ale with a nice hoppy back end.

I'm loving the 6 X 2 beer format. Given the stereotype of craft beer folks being variety-obsessed I'm surprised it's not more common.

And all too often I buy a variety pack and am only really excited about half the beers at best, so this is the best thing I've heard of since last year's SN Snowpack. The winter lager is one of the few SA offerings I buy a couple of sixes of every year anyhow.

All this 12 pack needs to do is Swap Bl or the chocolate for the Black Lager and I'd buy 6 cases. This is a solid offering, assuming the new beer is good. I may buy a case.

I must be weird...the only one outta the sampler I don't like is Boston Lager...never flicked my bic. Had Old Fezziwig last year and agree that it should be in sixer format.

I wish they'd throw their Cream Stout in one of their mixed 12-packs but I'll definitely be buying a few of these this season.

I'm a huge fan of the 6x2, so it was devastating when they dropped it after last summer. Hopefully it is here to stay. I think the only other breweries doing 6x2 recently were Blue Moon and Saranac, but they both dropped it again, I think.

They actually had it and the Dunkel in their Fall Variety 24-pack. Wish they had those six in the 12 pack too, maybe next year.

Damn...good to know. I haven't even seen any mixed cases around here. Maybe I'm not looking hard enough.

I agree with you and that's one of the reasons I am so excited about this particular variety pack. Don't me get wrong, I like SA Lager and Winter Lager. I can get those as sixer anytime. (And I do.) It's great that they evened the bottle count out to leave room for more seasonal brews that you can't get in a six pack or bomber format.
I've also wondered if they've ever considered for a season putting Merry Maker in the 12 oz. bottles for the Winter Pack and six packs, while putting Ol' Fezziwig in bombers. With as much love as iFez gets in these SA threads? Look out!

While the weather here in the Northeast has been unusually warm and will probably remain above average for the foreseeable future, this pack seems to have landed right on time and not too early like some other seasonals...grabbed a pack last night and can't wait to dive in! One of my favorite times of year for beer, hands down.

    Buy 2 Get 10 Free. . .

I buy about 6-10 of these a year, specifically for the two Old Fezziwig, which are worth about $10 bucks a piece.

The Winter Lagers are great, but the whites are given to house guests, although they are pretty damn good when you add Old Bay to them.

I can only hope they'll put OF out
on its own, even at $10 a bottle, but until then, it's buy 2 get 10 free

Well, finally starting to see these show up locally. In fact, both Costco and Sam's have the 24 pack versions at $24 and change. Can't beat this deal!

Saw the 12 pack hovering around the $13-$14 range as well. Freshness shouldn't be an issue with these articular SA products. I will be picking one up tomorrow. Sounds like most people are enjoying them this year.

Forgot to add, I'm noticing consumers cracking open various variety packs and building their own 6 packs in stores that offer the build your own sixers. Granted, the stores prefer you take the bottles already allowed for build your own six packs and "not" open other 12 & 24 packs. It's kind of a "turn the other cheek" type thing, as the stores know this will continue to happen.
